As it's almost butter-like smoothness is unparalleled among a diverse wine scene. When planning wineries to visit in the Mid-Willamette Valley, I highly recommend stopping by Maysara.

This review is about the tasting room and staff.TLDR: Had a TERRIBLE experience. As it stands for me--Don't go if you are a person of color, a women of color, are of a younger demographic (20s/30s), or are looking for a fun vibe. The customer service was terrible, especially if your group has all these qualities. ----------My friends and I, including mostly women of color, eagerly looked forward to our tasting reservation at Maysara Wines, but the experience was less than enjoyable. Maysara piqued my interest because of the story and family of the winery itself. That's how they got me through the door.After our wine tasting (which we had to share from carafes and poured ourselves,) we were told we could explore the scenic grounds. However, our plans were derailed by an older staff member who aggressively confronted us when we attempted to do so. This public reprimand, especially given the composition of our group in front of an all-white clientele, was highly uncomfortable and unprofessional.One of their excuses was that of being understaffed. That in itself is a red flag. There is always a not-so-great reason for that. That put so much pressure on workers getting paid the least.Our disappointment stemmed from the following:- Embarrassment: We were yelled at for something we were explicitly told we could do.- Inappropriate Confrontation: The staff member's public scolding was disheartening, considering our group's diverse makeup.- Lack of Accountability: Instead of offering a genuine apology, the staff member resorted to excuses. When I emailed the Club manager, Dominic, it was also the same excuses. This place might be for you for a very quiet, no-frills, DIY, good-views experience.However, I would not recommend it to folks who like to have fun, are people of color, or are young (or young at heart). Mind you, we were mostly in our 30's. The managing staff and customer service we encountered was not it. The vibes are off. And yes, all of them were.Sincerely disappointed.

Incredibly disappointed with this winery. Lackluster wines and treated my party horribly. I would pass on this one.I had called about a month in advance to ensure they could accommodate our group of 10 for my partners birthday. At that time they were kind and willing to accommodate us. When we arrived about 10 mins into our reservation, they let me know they had not yet prepared our table but pointed to a larger table in the back. Annoying, but whatever, we grabbed extra chairs to help set up! The tasting experience is shockingly unhinged to me and makes no sense: everyone in my party ordered tasting flights individually yet they combine pours into carafes that we then have to divide amongst ourselves. They had lines on the carafes but it's incredibly confusing and when you pour it out, it equals to something like a single OZ per person. For $30 per person, this is nuts to me! Then while our party were enjoying ourselves, laughing and telling stories, the server approaches us to be quiet. I get that the cellar room where they do tastings echos but there was no one in there but us--they were quieting us down for the patrons OUTSIDE (eye roll). Even still, we were respectful and spoke softer after that. The last straw was when we were told by one of the servers that we could walk around the winery outside and appreciate the beautiful grounds just as long as we didn't go into the vineyard. Our group made our way outside, took some pictures and as we were making our way around the building the other server, without stepping away from serving someone else, sharply and aggressively yells at us from a distance to stop what we were doing. Keep in mind our group was mostly women of color while the staff and entire rest of the patrons on the patio were white. I don't need to state the obvious problem with these optics but I will: All these white people staring at a group of POC adults being shouted down at like children. It was embarrassing, unnecessary and unprofessional.Why were we told we could do something to then just be publicly ridiculed? Why didn't the server stop what she was doing, walk over and calmly/gently tell us we were misinformed? My partner informed the shouting server that we were told we could walk around and that she would go let the other server inside know she misinformed us. "YOU DO THAT!" She yelled back at us, again not stopping to serve these other white patrons. When my partner went back inside, the yelling server storms in and proceeded to yell at the other server, "stop telling people they can walk around." In a way, I feel bad for that server inside. This other lady was truly unhinged. And yet neither of them took ownership of this awful experience we were having. They merely gave excuse after excuse for why WE were in the wrong and made no effort at all to make it right.For such a fancy winery that stresses SO heavily their story of refugee women fleeing turmoil to make wine in Oregon, I'm just at a loss for how awful and discriminatory we were treated here. We absolutely won't be coming back. If you are under 50 and a minority, don't even bother with this place; they probably don't want your business anyway.And don't even get me started on how they are not at all ADA accessible!

This is the most beautiful vineyard I saw while in Willamette Valley. Gorgeous property with great open spaces. The tasting room is very nice and there are both indoor and outdoor areas where you can enjoy your wine and their amazing charcuterie.

We visited this friend's winery for her 35th birthday and made reservations in advance. We left after having encountered persistently poor customer service, the use of aggressive tones towards us (we were a group of young WOC), lack of any ownership or responsibility over communication lapses between staff, and a tendency to blame and gaslight customers. This includes the follow-up communication from the tasting room manager, Dominic, over email.First, customer service. Being a group of 9, I was stunned to find out we had to pour our own tastings. I've been to dozens of wineries, have gotten married at a vineyard, and never encountered this. Handing a 5-6 oz carafe to customers and asking them to split it amongst themselves? Never seen. Whatever, we let it slide. After our tasting, we asked one of the tasting room staff whether we could walk around the building. She replied yes and told us to stay away from the vines. When we went for a walk, the older woman from the tasting room (while pouring customer wines outside) shouted at us to stop walking around like we were petulant children. Mind you, we were a group of young WOC. When we said we were just told that we could walk around, she doubled down on her aggressive tone. My friend then said that she would inform her coworker that she gave us incorrect info. The older woman replied, "You do that!" Is it the customer's job to account for communication lapses?? Why is an old white woman shouting at so many women of color in front of old white people? She clearly felt emboldened to show her discriminatory side.Inside, we informed the staff member about the incorrect information and the older woman came back and resumed shouting at us, and continued to offer excuses (short-staffed/it's harvest time/we didn't listen etc). I don't understand staffing issues as we poured our own wines (?!) and merely followed directions. After pointing out that her aggressive tone was unacceptable, she continued to offer more excuses. You're in customer service - you could apologize and this would be over. We then contacted the tasting room manager over email to give feedback - and were met with the same lengthy set of excuses. On top of that, he used gaslighting language "Sorry that the interaction was perceived in this manner" - Dominic, if old white people shout at young women of color for no fault of their own, it's okay to take ownership of your racist behaviors. Stop gaslighting customers. Stop writing lengthy retorts. Write a short and sweet apology. Just promise to do better.Overall, shocked and appalled at the fact that these people try and capitalize on immigrant stories to get young people into the door, and then treat us this way. There are many other wineries in the region that are accessible and welcoming of diverse crowds. I would highly recommend staying away from this one.

Great wine! And a wonderful atmosphere as well as the service. One downside- no food to speak of. Bought 4 bottles of wine after the tasting - very high quality.

This has always been one of our favorite wineries in Oregon's Willamette Valley! It's a little drive back to the winery/tasting room from the road but come on, it's through vine-covered hillsides with wild turkeys roaming around.They're committed to sustainable/regenerative farming and they make their wines the way nature intended. The quality of the wines for the price point is unmatched compared to our other stops, especially for being certified biodynamic. Not sure what that is? Ask the staff while you're tasting! Everyone we've met at Maysara was kind and informative.We always look forward to visiting and trying the newest releases from Maysara when we are in the area!

This winery is beautiful. The history, the buildings, the food. It is a must see. The wines were wonderful and Brentton was wonderful!
