They said my dog needed to be professionally trained because when they invaded my dogs space my dog backed away. Anyone who knows anything about dogs you know that dogs need to be able to smell you and come to you to be comfortable.

Not 5 Stars! I booked an exam for both my cats dropped them off (because I was not allowed in the exam room). We adopted our 9 year old cat, that was abused as a kitten. He has severe anxiety. There was a power outage in McMinnville, the vet clinic tried to keep both my cats overnight because they “couldn’t process payment due to power outage” I offered cash, Venmo, Zelle etc. They refused and held my cats. Luckily the power turned back on right before their office closed and I got both my cats back that day. When I finally got my cats after multiple hours, my cats eye was covered in topical flea treatment that they applied incorrectly(to my abused cat) ?This veterinary clinic is a JOKE!

These people are terrible. For years they told us our dogs’ phlegm problem was no big deal. Turns out it’s a big deal, we are right, they were wrong. It could absolutely kill him when he’s old. These vets have zero compassion, poorly trained, no common sense. They are criminals! The owner sits here arguing with unsatisfied customers. They also banned an autistic guy for calling them out on these crimes. Neglect neglect neglect. How do you sleep at night? Pos.

I have used this vet for over 20 years. Service, rates and compassion have always been the very best.

Great with both my cat and dog. My dog, inparticular, is not afraid of them at all. They're wonderful.

My dog had a stick stuck sideways in the back of throat. Tried to get it out, but required sedation. We called quite a few Vet Clinics only to find out that Emergency Services are not well accepted around McMinnville, OR. This is tough to believe, but true! One clinic told us, you'll have to go to Salem. McMinnville Vet Hospital was compassionate and knew we needed immediate assistance. They were busy like the rest of clinics, but Dr. Schroeder agreed to see our dog right away. Great staff here, everyone was was helpful. Our dog survived a scary incident.

Every time we visit this clinic we are reminded how much we appreciate the expertise and compassion of all the veterinarians and their staff. During the pandemic it was necessary to visit another clinic and we couldn’t wait to get back to Dr Schroeder, Dr Statter, Jessie and Cora at McMinnville Veterinary Hospital. Thx for being there.

Long time patron, had to move vets because the customer service was terrible! Called to make an appointment and was shooed away because "appointments are booked out pretty far". Okay??? I still needed an appointment!!

I was warned about how little this clinic cares or prioritizes pets. I can not overstate how much I regret ever giving this clinic a dime. You want your pet to be seen in less than a month? Well they have plenty of emergency appointments available but you’re going to pay 4x as much to be seen in 1.5 weeks for non emergencies. That’s how you know these are bad money hungry people! OH AND They require payment at the time of scheduling, that’s a huge red flag for these vets. You aren’t allowed to shop around and come cancel if you want an urgent appointment. They’ll schedule an emergency appointment days and weeks out for non-emergencies left and right. So much so that they run out of actual emergency appointments on the day when they are needed! It’s all a money scheme. I called around in Newberg and got an appointment within two weeks at two clinics with no payment required up front. Please please, make the slight drive to be given compassionate care.

This place gets a ZERO. I brought my 6 yr old dog in because he had been vomiting for several days and refusing all food & treats. They were more concerned about selling us flea meds than actually taking care of our beloved family member. He really needed to be given IV fluids and antibiotics but they refused. They gave him a shot of fluids and anti vomit meds and sent him home. That was on a Friday afternoon and he died the following Monday morning. I will NOT be recommending this place.I had tried to get him into emergency vet in Salem Sunday night, but they were so booked up they couldn’t get him in right away. They told us he would need to be hospitalized (IV fluids & antibiotics). However they would only be able to start it then would have to send him back to regular vet office because they closed at 8am (we were there at 11:30pm until 1:30am and he still hadn’t been taken inside). He was already too gone by that point. He died in my arms before we could take him in later that morning.

I’ve been there two times for two different occasions. The veterinarian is pushy to telling you what she wants you to do. I mentioned I wanted my dog to have puppies and she said that’s a bad idea that I should do the surgery instead. I asked why not and she said if there was a complication that if I had money to cover that. I think I don’t have to tell her my financial life.
