Do not leave anything in your vehicle that you don't want stolen.I called to let them know an item was missing out of my vehicle and I am the only one that drives my car so it was one of their emplyees. They just laughed at me because I was angry, and didn't think that it was a big deal because it wasn't a high dollar item.Strongly consider going to another mechanic. If you can't trust a mechanic not to steal an item out of your vehicle, can you really trust the work they are doing.

First time customer. Was very pleased withthe team, George and Tom's proffessionalism, expertise and overall customer service. I am going to trust their shop mechanics are master mechanics, so I cannot say otherwise unless repairs were unsuccessful many years from now, honoring certain limited, reasonable warranties. Steve's Auto Services is apparently focused on providing customer satisfaction to first time, long time customers. As I full service vehicle repairshop, it seems they are unmatched, competitive. We will certainly continue in taking our vehicles to Steve's as long we are here in Mac. We are definitely recommending them to all we know or don't know. Thanks to them for being here!!

Steve’s Auto Service is great!!! The had really good communication with us when doing some work to our sons older truck. No surprises when it came to payment as they sent estimates out prior to doing any work for approval. Steve’s Auto Service is our go to now! Best in McMinnville we highly recommend!

George was great in getting me just the right part I needed, then followed up with great service and double checked to make sure all was right. This was my first time doing business with Steve’s. As an ASE certified mechanic, I know when the service and quality is good. This is a great place and I’ll be back!

No other way to put it: These guys rock!I worked with George and he is very attentive, smart, and gets his customers for sure! This place was recommended by an Engineer that I work with that lives in McMinnville, though my husband and I live in Dallas.I have not taken one of my vehicles to an outside mechanic in over 20 years due to past experiences, so I was somewhat apprehensive. We had two (3) main issues: 1) High frequency 'buzz' in the steering wheel has gotten worse over the last 12 months to the point that your hands can go to sleep if driving more than 10 minutes, 2) Nissan Versa SV just went over 100,000 miles and was badly in need of a full tuneup; gas MPG went from 40 down-to 36.5, and 3) Car wandering on freeway more than normal for a little sub-compact.Now the tuneup is simply: New plugs (taking the entire plenum off is a royal pain), new air filter, REMOVE and totally clean the throttle body cuz they get real dirty. Also, had them do an oil & filter change.Diagnosing the buzz in the steering wheel can be extensive down-to and including the rack & pinion, suspension parts, wheel bearings, tires and wheels, and even maybe the transmission. Now in the troubleshooting the buzz they did not find any issues with the rack or suspension parts (shocks, ball joints, cross members), or wheels/tires, so nothing stood out. At this point the Tech suggested that the vibration (buzz actually) might be getting transferred from the transmission and this is where the troubleshooting stopped. They did however find that the FEA (front end alignment) was out big-time in the toe setting. They fixed this and the wandering and jerking around the road is gone! Previous owner had hit a curb I'm sure, classic symptom is this metric. Results: The tuneup is fantastic! All the pep of this little car is back. My MPG went back up to over 40 MPG which is great. The troubleshooting could've been really started from the steering wheel, all the way down to the linkage at the firewall, and then the linkage down to the rack & pinion: I don't know if this was performed. And this is where the problem was however. This little Nissan 'does' have Power Steering, but not classical pump and reservoir type. It uses an ELECTRIC POWER STEERING COLUMN MOTOR and ENCODER just below the steering wheel behind all the plastic next to the Tilt handle on the column shaft. The motor is what was causing all the buzz by having problems with the encoder so it was going back and forth (lost obviously) at a high frequency. It was felt in neutral and even when the car was NOT in motion. Unplug this power connector to this motor: BUZZ is GONE! They missed this, but that is tricky to diagnose to make.My husband Richard is a Master Mechanic of over 40 years, so he found the parts we needed and is taking the time to swap them out, just don't need to change the entire steering column.Point Is: Will I go back to Steve's for more work? YES, DEFINITELY.They have restored my faith in a Mechanic shop that does what they say they'll do, at the price they say, and do high quality work, and so darn fast! They actually got it back to me when they said they would! Who woulda thought!I don't mind driving 30 miles from Dallas up to their shop.If you have work needing to be done, try Steve's.And thanks to Robert Myers for the recommendation.Services: Electrical repair

Everybody at the shop was friendly and explained everything thoroughly. They stayed in contact with me about the service. Did a complete inspection of my car and created me a list of repairs needed. I will be using them for service on all of my cars.
