The food was delicious and the owners are awesome! They were super friendly and funny ? if you aren't too full from trying the trail burger and homemade fries I suggest the huckleberry cheesecake! I will be back for it again.

Owner was so kind, very welcoming, and funny! The food was AMAZING. We had the French dip, and the roast beef tasted just like grandma made it on Sundays. You won’t regret a little detour off the highway for this place!Kid-friendliness: Low key environment, kids would definitely be welcome.

Perfectly cooked eggs, hash browns and toast make Oregon Trail Store & Deli worth traveling to. The pie and cheesecake is excellent too. The owners will offer to cook up roadkill if you bring some in, otherwise they serve well cooked meals for a weary traveler. The residents of Meacham are lucky to have an establishment such as this one. Fun and welcoming atmosphere, good food, decent coffee. What more could you ask for?

I love these types of places. Super fun character, great friendly service, and solid portions of well prepared food. I stopped for breakfast and can highly recommend it. Be sure to ask for the Road Kill menu ;-)

Saw all the good reviews. We believe them and we encourage you to do the same. Filing another. My brother and I made a point of checking this spot out for lunch on the way back to Boise. The feel was homespun and charming as advertised. I had the tortilla soup special, six bucks for a large bowl. My brother had a burger and fries. Both quite good. The tortilla soup was more hearty than I've had in the past, with lots of pinto beans, and tasty as can be. No hot to it initially but plenty of bottles of Tabasco and Picante for that. The burger was good, of course. The standout was the fries, which were perfectly textured, long and slender. There was only one person working, a soft-spoken man with a calm low-key manner. He was courteous and prompt with service. Exactly what is needed when coming off the road with frayed nerves. When I went to ask for dessert he was washing pans, his back turned, and I chose not to bother him until he finished. I'm sure he would have responded quickly if I had asked him to. Split a Raspberry pie a la mode for desert. Generously sliced and had considerable vertical height to it. Top crust solid, not lattice, and not too thick. One thing to note: If you ask for water, you'll get bottled, at cost. Just a heads-up, no big deal. Cold sodas in the can are $1.50 and they had Squirt Zero Sugar, my current favorite. We will be back as soon as we can manage it. Thank you.

Awesome old restaurant right off highway 84 on the old Oregon trail! They have the best club sandwich I’ve ever had and the homemade fries are amazing. My wife got the cheeseburger and she loved it as well! Will definitely be coming back if we’re ever in the area again.
