I appreciated the fact that he was honest and paid to the dollar of the coins worth .. he had a good collection of coins in his shop and he was very professional in his greeting.

This guy was very rude hung up on me three times then when I got a hold of him he continued to bash me about asking him if he bought stamps and continued to say the stamp buying stopped 18 years ago so I asked him why his company said Alexander coin and stamp shop if they have no stamps so he said that's the name for 55 years so I told him to false advertisement then right I said so what do you sell there and he said just coins and bullion and then he hung up on me I would not I repeat I would not and I would encourage anybody else not to come here unless you want to be hung up on and bashed for what you have forget you Alexander coin and stamp shop

Unfriendly fella. Barely acknowledged me when I came in, which was impressive in such a small shop, and when he did he was rude and belittling.Said he hasn’t dealt in stamps in over 16 years. Maybe time to change the name?I love small shops this, and was really looking forward coming in and meeting an expert in coin and stamps. Maybe I caught him on a bad day, but he obviously doesn’t need any business.

Discriminates against women. Bad experience. Guy behind the counter made me wait outside in the cold - the door was locked while he was helping another customer (male) inside. I thought it was for a security precaution... no biggie..... but after I was inside looking at coins by myself - alone with the door locked.... he not only unlocked the door to let one big dude in.... but two! One right after the other... I said to him- "oh-different rules for different people?" He came back with rude defensive comments he said it was close to closing time and he knew one of the men. I felt intimidated and vulnerable and downright scared. NEVER going back. I do not recommend.

The man who answered the phone was rude. When asked about selling silver he absolutely refused, claiming he did not want them in his building. When asked why, he stated he can’t sell them. Fascinating how these dealers love it when you buy silver at $20 an oz but then when people want to sell they will not buy it.

Jerry was helpful when my 90 year old mother was looking for an appraisal of coins from the 19th and early 20th century. Once the appraisal was made, he was ready and willing to purchase. During the whole process, he was willing to explain what he was doing and answer all kinds of questions about the coin world. I feel we were treated fairly at a time when an opportunist could have take advantage of an elderly woman and that means a lot.
