Christina has been very helpful with what I’ve gone through for domestic violence is helping me look for housing applications job give me a lot of resources to help me I would recommend talking to Christina she really listens to your problems and finds resources to help you

As I was going to my first appointment to meet with my advocate, I get a text message from her saying that she couldn’t meet with me that day and that she would do a telephone interview at a certain time like so I just drove to Medford from grants Pass for nothing. And I had to sit in a parking lot and wait for her to call which she didn’t call till later in the afternoon I finally drove home. I was told I could get a phone service because I had no data on my phone. I was also told I could get clothing and gas vouchers and that she would come to me with these vouchers because I didn’t have gas to waste any longer since I wasted my gas, going to Medford, those vouchers never came. I was also told I would get help with housing which I already had a place lined up. We sent the information she asked for she was she told us paid by next Tuesday she’d have a decision next Tuesday comes around and we get an email saying she needed something different that we made a mistake on paperwork so we send the paperwork , she said the paperwork was the same as the paperwork when the old paperwork was even around the only picture the thing that we sent in was the new paperwork and after we sent in that paperwork we haven’t heard from her since but I have called community works and then transferred to her phone and her Was there was no more clothing vouchers we don’t give out gas vouchers and it’s like well. What about my house? Well did you get your paperwork in last week? Well I still have not heard a word it’s been phone calls and times that were scheduled. I didn’t get a call , or I drove to Medford for nothing nothing that was offered did I receive. Very disappointed these people had been called by my doctor to help me invite other community people that knew I needed help getting out of this situation and when I finally did get out there was no help at all for me .

This organization is hands down the most efficient and effective in any other organization in its industry and most importantly they care,and helped me and my family save our home when my mom was temporarily disabled from an injury caused by her place of employment. Within one week of calling for help they cut my landlord a check to aid in Access which they took 3 months to help us..in any case we are greatly appreciated for all this organization has done forever thankful to Jessica the intake advocate who dedicated her time in our crisis..we now are caught up in rent and the baby on its way...God Bless you all at Community Works Medford Oregon

None of the promises held up. No support for employment or any services whatsoever plus staff was not trauma informed. There was also a creepy male on-site and the playgrounds were off limits to kids, kids weren't allowed to interact and it was overall a retraumatizing event.

Was a client about 2 years ago. Exited due to uncomfortable situations with a large family they brought in and a male taking photos and posting them of the location online. Tried to reenter this year was disqualified due to lies. And they refuse to communicate afterwards or offer help.

Would give six stars if I could. Because of the amazing help of Community Works I now have a wonderful place for me and my son and they worked nonstop with me to make sure I got it. Honestly don’t know why the rating is at a 3.7, everyone there was super kind and always willing to help.

Don't call the crisis center in the winter time when your homeless and seeking shelter! Response was " we can't help, if they answer there phone at all during business hours.

10 staff members have quit in the last 7 months -to have that many people choosing to leave during a recession says a lot about the work environment and the way management treats their staff. The advocates doing the ground work do a lot of great things for the community and if they had better working conditions, it's unlikely the turnover would be so high as the job can be incredibly rewarding. They train their staff not to victim blame and then victim blame their staff. It's impossible to take time off, therefore there is no work-life balance. Management takes pride in gaslighting and belittling their employees. This organization has so much potential if it was directed by genuinely altruistic people and if the Board of Directors actively sought out feedback from the staff on the front lines, making the lowest income.
