I have been using this company for years before it even changed hands . I don't think many people are happy with tax people unless they're getting a tax refund. But the bottom line is they do a decent job at a decent price and getting business taken care of as what they do.

I've used this establishment via a referral. they are so affordable for the job they do. my tax specialist/CPA as well as one other, are previous IRS Agents. Here's why this matters to me. After a lengthy marriage and a long separation, I was given inappropriately disbursed K-1's which left me with a $40K tax debt. I had a previous CPA at KDP who turned them in verses turning in the correct amount. Form after form was turned in, wrongful spouse, disputes, lengthy letters w documentation, etc...and to no avail. Then the pandemic hit. Anyway, JP & Bryce took care of meeting with me, determining best approach considering the backlog of the IRS, we settled on an Offer in Compromise. It took a little over a year but they accepted it. I only had to pay $800. Thank you...Thank you!!! Jammie

I deeply regret trusting this office.After recently moving to the area, I hired Jackson County Accounting to prepare my taxes. Along the way, I had a few questions, and most of these were ignored. That should have been my first indication that I was not in good hands.As the months progressed I received notices from state and federal agencies that this office had not provided correct calculations. I brought this to their attention and was often ignored. When I did get an answer it was basically "yeah, we messed up." No acknowledgment or apology of any kind.Fast forward another month and, while just about to go on vacation, I get notice that my state taxes had not even been filed. Again, I brought this to their attention and was ignored. At that point, I had to hire someone else to clean up the mess. So, while on vacation, when I should have been relaxing, I had to once again dive into tax preparation. I am still cleaning up the mess months later.You don't have to go through what I did. Avoid this office like the plague if you want professional service with a minimum amount of respect and competence.

I hired this company to do my 2021 taxes and an offer and compromise. I have had tax problems for years due to different and difficult circumstances so it is all very stressful. When I went in to pick up my taxes one of them, I think an owner, asked me how I was doing. I told her I felt suicidal over this whole thing. She started laughing. I asked her if she though suicide was funny. She laughed and mumbled something and left the room. I expressed to my tax prep lady that I thought it was inappropriate for her to laugh at someone who expressed they are suicidal. I then got a letter from the other owner saying that due to my frustrations with their company I should probably find someone else to do my offer and compromise. Rather than taking responsibility, admitting that laughing at suicide was wrong and/or offering an apology, I was asked to leave. I'm sure that it would have been uncomfortable for the gentlewoman who thinks suicide is funny to come face to face with me. I am a forgiving person, ordinarily. But not when they take no responsibility. Easier to push me under the rug and never have to think about it again. But I'm sure she won't laugh at the next person who comes in who is in distress.

I have been using JCA for over ten years. They've helped me through all manner of financial crazy in that period, from nearly losing my home when the market bottomed out, to handling a difficult divorce and the financial fallout from that, to starting a business, to dealing with becoming an independant contractor, to managing income from an AirBnB unit, to rental property issues, to handling end of life tax issues for my mom... it's been an interesting ten+ years, and Gary and team at JCA have been incredible allies to have in my corner through it all. Don't know what I would have done with out them. Highest possible recommendation.
