Stopped by to pick up medications after checking your hours online, only to be told that the online hours are wrong and to look at the sign on the counter. Very frustrating to make a trip for nothing. Please update your online hours.

The staff is very nice and have a good attitude even with all the lines of people stacked up waiting to get their prescriptions. Since Rite Aid closed and Lone pine closed and other pharmacies it seems Safeway hasn’t adjusted staff numbers or times they are open. Taking lunch for an hour and 30 minutes with no optional service during that time. They had a machine that helped find each prescription and it moved the line a lot faster. But it cost too much . Safeway management must enjoy stacking sick folks on top of each other in the produce section ! All the better to spread pneumonia and flu! Don’t forget your free flu shot!

I had to go to the Safeway Pharmacy to pick up a prescription. The pharmacy is having a difficult time keeping this particular medication on hand because there is a shortage due to the production of this medication. When I called to check with Safeway’s Pharmacy they were very pleasant and happy to help me. They had it so I went in to pick it up and they were so friendly and they put a smile on my face. Great place to get your meds filled!

I initially tried Walgreens pharmacy, had a pretty terrible experience waiting in line, non acceptance of my OHP coverage, and cagey pharmacists (unfamiliar with medication for opioid use disorder). They recommended trying Safeway, so i did, albeit not expecting much better. But- truth be told, Safeway has proved super reliable, objectively courteous, and ready to help problem solve on more than one instance. Wait's never more than 15 min. Just be advised, they take a 90 min lunch hour. ✌️

Today, Sunday 7-9 2023 was not a pleasant experience. I saw 2 employees arrive right at 10:00, one had to go get the cash drawers, the other idk where they went. They didn’t open until very close to 10:15. I think cashiers need to get to work and be PREPARED to open on time. One med I had been getting messages for was not ready as the text said it was. My 90 day prescriptions are not all 90 days, which means more trips down there. I’m not having it. As suspected, 2 hours later I get a text saying my med is ready. Keep it, I’m done with you

I feel that I owe it to my neighbours to share an incident that happened back in March of this year that put my health in jeopardy and insulted me as a patron. First, some context. I began using Safeway as my pharmacy back in April of 2022 at their location in Tillamook OR. Later that year, in July, I moved to Portland, OR and transferred my prescriptions to their location on MLK Blvd. In January of 2023, I moved to Medford, OR and had may prescriptions transferred once again, this time to Safeway's location in The Villiage at Medford Center at 1003 Medford Center, Medford, OR 97504. I never ended up filling anything at this location because of what happened next. After I requested the transfer, and before I filled any prescriptions, I requested a printout of the prescriptions they had on file so I could review it to make sure everything had been transferred properly from Portland to Medford. I was told that a print out of all my prescriptions was not possible because their computers did not offer that option. Yes, they said this with a straight face. Then they told me that what they COULD do was listen as I told them my list of prescriptions as best I could remember so they could confirm or deny if there was a match. This was said with a straight face as well. I objected and became angry at what sounded like a joke, but clearly was not. They were absolutely serious. After going back and forth about what their system could and couldn't do, they told me that if I really felt strongly about getting a list of prescriptions on file, then a pharmacist would have to write down, by hand, each and every prescription they saw on their screen. This was the only method at their disposal to provide me the list if prescriptions i requested. Then they informed me that if they were to do it this way, I would have to wait.A long line had formed behind me and those customers did not need to be held up unnecessarily by my request. This is seriously what actually took place. Wow. How dare they treat their customers (the reason they exist in the first place) this way, especially when it comes to something as important as prescriptions. A pharmacist needs to know if they are filling something that might react harshly with another medication on file. It's their job to check and take action when that happens. A an official printed list of medications on file allows patients a mechanism to advocate for themselves proactively. An official printed list is, I believe my right as a patient. It is absolutely possible to print a list of medications. If I had all medications on file filled at once, the list would be printed on the receipt at minimum. Was it a lie, an oversight, a technical problem, or something else that led them to deny me a printed list of medications? Whatever the reason, the first point of contact I had referred me to her supervisor when I challenged the denial and the supervisor backed up the denial. This must mean that the people working the counter were not the root of the problem, Safeway as a company was the cause of the problem. At this point I had had enough of feeling bullied and belittled for simply trying to access my prescriptions and advocate for myself as a patient. I raised my voice in protest and was kicked out of Safeway as a result. I came back the next day hoping that I could at least get my anxiety medication filled and then cease to darken their door. I was again denied service. I sent a friend of mine in to pick the medication up for me and was told that even though the prescription was filled and ready to hand over, they would not do so after the way I behaved in response to their second denial of service. In the second try, after I was denied again, I intentionally knocked a bunch of shampoo bottles on the ground with my hand as I walked out of the store without my prescription for anxiety (and other health conditions). I also yelled very loudly that they all could F#&k Off. All if this actually happened. I would rather not have reacted the way i did. I also do not believe that what they di

Truly abysmal, and so frustrating. Tried to call 7 times for an inquiry (I live far away, just wanted to check pricing on something), each time getting sent to a full mailbox and hung up on. Sent the question along with a front service member, and the note she wrote was ignored by pharmacy staff until I had to go in hours before an appointment just to check pricing since the phone is apparently impossible to pick up. The pharmacy staff all knew the note in question too, just no one bothered to call me back to answer it. Charming. The inability to reach the staff via phone is the whole reason I stopped using Safeway for medication, and now I will triple check I never have to do an appointment with them again. Please look into emptying your voicemail box so customers are not being hung up on.

I love this pharmacy. They know me. Ik most of them. Best I've ever had. Weirdly, not everybody has the same experience. I'm sorry for them. But I love this one. Hope others do too. I've had my ins and outs, but they r grt to me. I hope others get to have that too.

Nothing on the worker bees but the management should be ashamed of themselves, the line usually has about 10-20 people waiting all day long. They move slow. Normally I wouldn’t complain but this has been a serious issue for months.
