It's a very long line, waiting.

I was awarded ssi and ssdi in a hearing I waited 2 years for. Had to move 3000 Mike's away because I needed a place to stay and my brother told me to come stay with him. I finally have my hearing where i was approved for both ssi and ssdi and to finish up the process everything was being sent to medford ss office. Where they don't have time to answer the phone or if they do they tell u that it's going to take 90 days for my back pay to stop calling. Then get a letter in the mail marked urgent second notice. Call 8665930664 because they need more information. Fine but when I call the number there is no option to speak to a representative. Just dial by extension or name. Yet the letter doesn't have that information on it. So it hangs up on u. In the letter it states that if I don't call someone immediately they will deny my application that has already been approved. That seems illegal if u ask me

The overall experience at this Social Security office is frustrating due to extremely long wait times. Calling to make an appointment is nearly impossible—hold times are excessive, often lasting around an hour. Walking in isn’t any better; whether you have an appointment or not, you can expect a long wait. The main issue seems to be understaffing, as only two service windows are typically open, even when the lobby is full. The staff that is there does their best, but the lack of resources really hurts efficiency. Improvements in staffing and appointment systems are badly needed.

When I contacted the SSA in Medford to schedule an appointment to verify in person that I am who I am, I was told no one was available. The wait time to speak to an agent was 120 minutes. Well, it's been 150 minutes and I'm still waitling.

Forced to go on Medicare for renal disease, but can’t get signed up. Have great insurance, but after three years of treatment by law I have to get Medicare. Now I am accumulating medical debt of about $1600 a day!!!
Waited hours in office to be told I need an appointment and then after finally jumping through all the hoops it has been over four months since I completed the documentation and application. It was supposed to be less than 30 days for the approval. I have opted for a return call since the on hold wait time is half a day, but I never get the return phone call. On line says they started step two months ago.
This review is worthless though. Where am I going to go? What am I going to different? Nothing - because there is nothing I can do… :(

Don't go without an appointment, and even then, plan on waiting as much as 2 hours past your appointment time

Made an online appointment to come in and get a new card with my new last name. Had no issues with making the appointment, and everything was taken care of pretty quickly. I appreciate what these guys do, I bet they're swamped as well.

Only giving one star because that's as low as I can go... been on hold for one and a half hours so far just to do an address change! UGH...🤬

SSA puts me on hold for 2 hours. Request to call back, still waiting for for over 3 hours. Tried calling SSA in Medford, good luck cuz call goes right back to the idiots that put you on hold for 2 more hours. Only need to change bank account numbers! How inefficient is this SSA?

I wait on hold for 3+ hours daily only to be hung up on or request a call back and nobody has EVER called me back. This has been going on for weeks now. Nearest office is almost an hour away. VERY FRUSTRATING!

It's fun to be told the forms you have are correct by the person who schedules you after a 120 minute wait on the phone, just to get to the office and be rudely informed a birth certificate is no proof of identity for an infant!
I was told by this office rep that even the online information on their site is wrong, and you actually need a doctors note that is signed by the doctor, and another government entity's approval of benifits with the name on it is also not valid, but your doctors office is!? It just seems very unnecessary when it could be much simpler for us to validate in other ways, not to mention impossible to find out without having to do so in person.
What a collosal waste of time due to a failure of communication between the phone reps and office reps who apparently follow different info for what actually is and is not accepted proof of identity. I don't understand how this could be so difficult; have a list of what is and isn't approved, and make sure everyone giving advice to the public has this list and is on the same page!! This whole unsuccessful process took hours, from calling to make sure I had the right documents before driving over 3 hours there and back, and waiting to be seen.
Sadly, we don't expect better from a government office as this is the norm with the majority of them. Rude employees, no accountability or apology for all the time wasted and misinformation given, superiority complexes from security outside to staff inside... I would avoid this place, but unfortunately, it's the only option we have here! So I guess we all just have to deal with the mess it is and hope we are doing it all correctly the first time, or waste our time trying.

Trump please have Elon Musk to dismantle this office. This office is so dysfunctional and the security guard has such contemp and threatening posture for the public, because of our dissatisfaction of this office. Could not believe they were telling elderly people and the handicapped to wait 3 to 5 hours to be seen for the most simple tasks. Please fix our government
