I love the bakery in this Safeway… The bakers really love their job.. the sour dough bread is to die for.. only weird thing is the broken toilet in the men restroom… how hard is it to have it replaced from such a large corporation..

Good store not the biggest selection of things but it will get u fed. Fresh paved parking lot is nice and they fixed the entrance.

Biggest grocery store in town.*Update 10/22/2023There is still only one other grocery store in town. They just redid half of the parking lot and it is so nice and smooth...not sure when or if they are doing the rest of the lot...plus much safer going in and out of the store. It does get quite crowded at times, but the cashiers do their best to get you checked out as quickly as possible & there are 3 self-checkouts if you want to use them.I'm not sure if it's a pro or con, but you almost always run into at least one person you know...lol.

Bakery is terrible. I bought a piece of tiramisu cake for $9 and the only one available was in the case. When the employee packaged it she printed a label with it expiring the next day so already 3 days old. Took one single bite and the cake was stale and hard. Brought directly back into store and would not refund saying it was already ate. No quality assurance or guarantee. Terrible customer service.

I went to Safeway was checking out and knew I didn't have enough on my card so told them l had money to cover the balance a ND lady l was with paid for the cheese and found out l had a balance of $3.39 on my card the cheese was 3.99and had the extra in cash l am very ðisapointted with Safeway on the store

I saw that the number of reviews were the number of the beast. I decided that as a child of God I would increase that so the devil doesn't remain all happy. Other than that, great store. New resident to Milton Freewater, Oregon. and I'm happy with the convenience that Safeway provides me. If I had to complain about something it would be not enough 2% Darigold Milk and if I had to say something supportive it would be that the cashiers and employees are all very nice people. I haven't met any rude employees. Good job Safeway!!

Cashier tried giving us a hard time for no reason. Human interaction skills zero lol. I left my ID in the car, I wasn't even the one making the purchase just tagging along, but she got all hyped/rude like she caught us doing something wrong. Proceeds to threaten to tell the other cashiers not to serve us. (I literally have a beard and dispensary shirt on and my father is visibly old, all other cashiers have served us no problem, at any other store.) She was so incredibly rude it wasn't worth walking to the car for her. So we went 30 seconds down the road and got better deals + service from the Mexican grocery store. They're really nice there. Anyway safeway has lost two lucrative customersP.S. have fun carrying back that 30 rack of beer, maybe do a couple laps around the parking lot while you're at it, you need the exercise.

I’m really upset about there not being any baby formula. People tend to take them all at once and don’t think of other people who need them as well. I can’t get any baby formula for my baby. I have to go to Pendleton with the little bit of gas that I have. THERE SHOULD BE A LIMIT ON HOW MANY FORMULA TO TAKE. It’s not fair to the other people who also need baby formula for their babies.
