Sterio-typical dealership Service Scammers I took my 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport (~90,000 miles) to Ron Tonkin Service Department for an oil pressure light that returned after a January 3, 2025 service. They had replaced a part during that earlier visit, but the warning light came back, so I returned to check for further issues. They told me the oil level was significantly underfilled--AND THEY WERE THE LAST TO PERFORM THE OIL CHANG plus on record. I asked them to ensure the vehicle wasn't leaking or burning oil. They later confirmed it wasn't, and that the issue was simply low oil, suggesting negligence during the January service. When I asked them to take responsibility, the service agent claimed synthetic oil naturally burns off after 5,000 miles--which is a lie. When I called out their lie, he shifted blame to me for not checking the oil at 5K miles. I reminded him this wouldn't explain a 4-quart loss. He refused responsibility. I then spoke with the manager, who also deflected, citing a Dodge report (despite my car being a Jeep under 100K miles) and claimed cars lose a quart of oil if driven above 3K RPMs. Also a lie and if that were true we could check the spark plugs. Then they shifted to my car has no history there. After two hours, I told them I'd escalate to corporate cause i had other things to do. Later, when I drained the oil myself, it appeared dark--as if unchanged--and contained metal shards, suggesting internal engine damage from low oil pressure. I now believe the mechanic may have failed to add the proper amount of oil in January and possibly replaced the oil recently to cover it up. The shop has not acknowledged any fault nor offered compensation for the likely engine damage.

I came in looking to get into one of there pre owned trucks price was nice and the people seemed nice as well. but once they sat me down and ran some number it quickly became out of my price range I was looking for. expect them to add at least 10k on to any price advertised on there website. I feel like they throw a bait and switch on you once you seem intrested. .

I thought that this is my limit yet well due to the sensitive nature of my experience I'm not sharing most of the information I could share however if you are looking for a car and you go into a dealership sub dealerships are more reserved and conservative about how much they want you to buy their cars while others are very excited and want to encourage you to purchase a car even though you're not ready yet and haven't made a decision sometimes people need that extra nudge to make a decision other people don't want to be nudged they want to take their time so pick a dealership that will value the your decision and the amount of time you need to make that decision so do your research very well before you go into any dealership and make sure you understand what you're getting yourself into when you sign on the bottom line because 72 months at 4.9% interest adds up to a lot of money when you're purchasing a car that's $33,000

Made a deal via the phone to pay mostly cash and cover the balance with a personal check. Car had a few more dings, dents and scratches than described but decided to buy it anyways. Wife left with our young children to drive back to Vancouver while we did the paperwork. All of a sudden, they wanted to do a full credit application...apparently this is their policy when writing a personal check, even when its just for $6k. I wrote a $45k check a few years ago at Vancouver Toyota (much better dealership btw) no problem.... The salesman did not disclose this credit app BS else I would have just brought a cashiers check. I could have just paid the balance with my Visa debit but they didn't offer that as an option either. Instead the sales manager was a rude jerk about how this is my fault because I keep my credit locked and pay cash for everything. I told them I was probably going to write a bad review and the sales manager kicked me out of the store with a large sum of cash on me. I had to uber home all the way to Vancouver. Funny enough, the uber drive had a terrible experience here too. Avoid at all costs.

The service center is the worst rude employees scam and try to up sale will never step foot in this place again came in to have a key reprogrammed. Tell me I need 2500+ to have it programmed and nothing had to do with the key an oil change will stop a key from programming! No way!! Don't waste your time going here!

Brought RAM truck into Ron Tonkin RAM Gladstone because of an oil leak. Mentioned the extended warranty I bought when I purchased the used truck from them a few years back. Upon inspection Ron Tonkin RAM Gladstone said the charge would be $5600 and that the warranty would not cover this work at all. They said they would send a video of what the mechanic saw. I followed up and they said they were trying to find it. Ron Tonkin RAM Gladstone ignored further pleas to send it. I took it to another RAM dealership and they quoted $2600 for the same job and told me the warranty DID INDEED COVER THE WORK!!! Do NOT go anywhere near Ron Tonkin RAM Gladstone to buy or repair your automobile.

Either incompetent or scumbags. Bought a truck here and after two days it won't start and won't take a jump so it probably has a bad starter. So either they did zero checks on it while it was on the lot or the sales team are scumbags knew it had problems and sold it anyway. Even if they fix the issue I am never going here again and never recommending it to anyone.

I bought my 2017 dodge journey from Ron Tonkin in 2017... Today October 29th 2024, I took my vehicle in for warranty work (struts leaking and a couple other things) I called at 2 pm to see how it was going and they informed me that my struts weren't leaking (my mechanic says they are) and I've seen the leaking! I only have 38,000 miles on my car! The car seat shield was broke by the service man at Tonkin last February 2023 when they did the oil change, not by the last shop that did my oil change! And yes I did start cussing because you said you wouldn't cover the struts not because the seat cover! Ben lied! Also the USB phone charger does NOT charge the phone while the car is running, it discharges it! Your mechanic obviously didn't watch his battery discharge! He just saw it said it was charging when it wasn't! I have picture proof of it discharging while driving! I picked up my car and the check engine light is on! I have my mechanic here now with his scanner and will be sending Tonkin the bill to fix it! I will never buy from Tonkin again! One dishonest dealership!

I had an extremely wierd experience at the service department that led me to seek a mechanic to fix my jeep. After 2 years and many issues with my jeep with less than 50,000 miles I had the mechanic tell me I need a ESU and I need to take it to a dealership to have it installed and re programmed. I contacted 2 jeep dealership including Ron Tonkin jeep and have yet to receive any call back or anything I contacted them last week. So with no customer service and no trust in a jeep dealership mechanic I'm selling it . Never buy a jeep

My experience with the service department was as popsitive as any I've had anywhere. They were very communicative and knowledgeable, and they helped me to navigate the warranty and service contracts. I'm more than satisfied with the finished work on my jeep. Thanks to everyone at Ron Tonkin.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE & A BUNCH OF LIARS!
This is my SECOND review, because I deleted the first one after a manager reached out and promised to fix THEIR mistake. I came to buy a vehicle, I was not leaving without buying I drove 3 hours for it. I looked at my car and it was pouring rain I noticed what we thought were cracks on the sunroof but couldn’t tell for sure due to the down pour and the dark night sky. Their sales guy lied straight to our face and said no it’s not cracked it’s just rain puddles, we were skeptical but went through with it. Next morning sunny skies and sure enough the entire fixed sunroof is cracked everywhere. I look at the original listing of the vehicle and of course they hid the cracked sunroof in their ad. I call the sales guy and he says sorry but we can’t help you it’s sold as is. I leave a review and then Zander Biggers calls me and says no let’s fix this that’s not right, I get in contact with my ford dealer here in town and they make contact with Tonkin and as soon as it comes to scheduling repair and payment Tonkin starts ignoring their calls and is now refusing to call or email me and my local dealer back. This was in February and it’s October and I still for the life of me can’t get a single response. I’ve called and called and the front desk lady says oh yes they remember you they’ll call you back. Jacob specifically said he wants to help me and get this taken care of but again nothing. DO NOT buy from them unless you want meaningless back and forth. Never again.

We didn’t end up leaving with a vehicle from here, but Kilo was amazing as far as car salesmen go. He was absolutely lovely. Patient and friendly. It was a good experience.

Called a couple of months back to get a quote from service department to get timing belt, water pump, belt tensioner, and serpentine belt done on my 2013 Fiat 500 Abarth. Guy took my contact information and never called me back with a quote. I guess they made enough money the past couple of years price gouging on new vehicles that the money from the service wasn’t worth it to them. I ended up driving 2 hours and a bit to Auburn, Washington to get Tork Motorsports to do the service on my vehicle. Considering I’ve owned other Stellantis vehicles I now know why the company is going bankrupt, they’ve got crappy dealers. Forget buying that new electric Fiat since they won’t even service the cars already in customers hands.
