This review is for the despicable pharmacist Jennifer "Jenny" Hua, who is evidently notorious among other pharmacies for her slowness in filling and transferring medications, to the point that she puts people's health at risk. She mockingly refused to fill my non-controlled, doctor-prescribed mood stabilizing medication that I've been taking for 14 years, and she knew that I was running low. She then refused another pharmacy's request for transfer, which is patently ILLEGAL. It was only after pleading with the Rite Aid assistant manager (I believe her name is Brenda), who proved to be an absolutely empathetic ANGEL, that Jenny released the medication. Two pharmacies suggested I file a complaint about her to the Oregon Board of Pharmacy, which I did. I'm not holding my breath that she will be held to account, but I hope anyone reading this reconsiders this particular Rite Aid as their pharmacy, if they take any medications upon which their health and function are vitally dependent. I'm a well functioning individual with no history of violence or criminality, blessed by a great support structure, but heaven forbid that Jenny play God with a truly disturbed individual with nothing to lose - a recently paroled, schizophrenic felon, for example - she's probably a public health risk. Really makes you wonder how she'd score an a sociopathy test, and what she is like to others in her private life. In this time of people going postal on the daily - there a lot of unhinged people in Oregon, if you haven't noticed - you'd think that Rite Aid would be more scrutinizing in its hiring process for any position which requires dealing with people under duress. (And to be clear, this is NOT a veiled threat on my part - the worst I would have done is contact an attorney.) A heartfelt thank you to the assistant manager here, and I really hope that regional management sees this and monitors Jenny closely.

If it were possible to give five negative stars, this rite aid location deserves it. I understand they're understaffed, but the pandemic is long over, the bare minimum is the new bar. I haven't picked up a prescription on time in two years. I'm averaging two weeks late per prescription from this Rite Aid. again, I know they're busy, but this is life and death issues. whom ever runs the pharmacy is playing with fire. People will get hurt from their actions, if they haven't yet. Before you say "go to a different pharmacy", I cannot. This location has the only brand my body excepts. if management reads this, I implore you, please fix this.

Apparently you can buy marijuana, get a tattoo, or buy a deluxe slice of cake near this Rite Aid, but you CANNOT pick up your essential medications at this pharmacy that you literally die from not having. This Rite Aid pharmacy not only shut down for 4 days, but gave no voicemail update or online store update. The lady working at this store never answered the phone either. So I drove in only to find out the pharmacy was shut down for 4 days, and I was unable to get life saving medications. The woman at the front then had the audacity to ask me "You're trying to get opioids aren't you?". Talk about insult to injury and completely unprofessional. This store should be shut down. Word to the wise: go across the street to Walgreens. They are professional and stay open.

I have used this pharmacy for years, and have never had any real issues, and anything that did arise was always handled promptly and professionally, until now. Last month, my prescriptions took forever to fill. I have plenty of understanding of being backed up and short staffed. Frustrating, sure. But that's just the way it goes. This month, I have been waiting weeks for my Rx, and finally got someone to answer the phone today. Pharmacist looked me up, said they weren't done but would have them ready by end of day. Because I know that could easily not be the case depending on staffing, I waited for the text that they were ready. I got the text and high tailed it down to the store. I knew it would be a close call as they closed at 7pm. I even tried to call as I was around the corner but caught behind a train, but no one answered the phone. I ran into the store as fast as I could and got in line at 6:59pm. Only to be told they were closed and I would have to come back tomorrow. Another lady in line must have gotten the same speech as she was not happy, but they were allowing her to get her medicine and refused to help me. I get it, it's the end of the day, you're ready to go. But if you are open until 7pm, then you help everyone who is there by 7pm. It's your job. And this is peoples medication, it's not like I am pissed over not being able to buy a candy bar. If you need medication, go ANYWHERE else.

I have been coming to this rite aid location for over 20 years. I am switching to Walgreens. My doctor sent my required medications to rite aid last Thursday and now it Sunday and they still aren't filled. I've been without my needed medication for 3 days now. No one answers the phone when you call, they have been closed for the past 2 days even though the posted signs with their reduced hours state that they are open on Saturday and Sunday. This is unacceptable and dangerous. If one of their customers becomes Sick or heaven forbids dies because of their unprofessional actions, I would think this would make them liable. I don't know who is responsible for the poor management of this location but they should most definitely be FIRED, before this company get sued.

Nightmare. It's starting to become dangerous to use that pharmacy because not only are they hopelessly backlogged and understaffed, they are randomly closing early and on weekends all together because they don't have the staff. Came in to pick up and important Rx on Saturday 9/10 and they were closed. Now on hold with the Sunnyside Rite-Aid location for the last 30 mins! and counting - trying to get them to transfer and fill the Rx I had at Milwaukie. They need to CLOSE the Milwaukie location and auto transfer all the patient Rx to sufficiently staffed locations. Again the lack of available staff here has become dangerous for patients who are literally locked out from getting their prescriptions. You expect to come in and get your meds based on the new hours they have posted around the store and they are randomly, suddenly closed anyway.

This Rite Aid is large has wide aisles and was spotlessly clean with the products well organized when I visited. They had easier availability for vaccine appointments than the Portland stores and the pharmacy staff was tops.

The staffing and service situation with the pharmacy has plummeted over the past 90 days. Prescriptions that once took 10-15 minutes to fill are now taking in excess of 2 hours to fill. The quality of customer service has also plummeted since Mr. (former pharmacy manager) left for a new pharmacist position at the high-paying local medical school. Epic career move. Congrats Adam! I have ELEVEN (11) prescriptions at this store. I am wearying of hearing pharmacy staff whine and complain about how short-handed they are. I'm a 35-year executive veteran of human resources. Simply put, this corporation is not paying competitively enough to keep their pharmacy staffing at a safe and stable level. I've overheard several other customers, over my past few visits proclaim that they were going to transfer their prescriptions elsewhere, because of the aforementioned interminably long wait-times for Rx fills. I've had just about enough myself.

Poor customer service! My 10mo needed a prescription and the pharmacy did not have the medication in stock. Was informed as a guardian I need to call the prescribing office to request a change of medication. Pharmacy was informed that we just left urgent care and I asked the pharmacy to check other locations to fill the prescription. I was informed no location with in 100 miles carries this prescription. I had to call an on call doctor to send a new prescription as Rite aid would not call the providers office to see if any other prescription could be prescribed. Needless to say we will never use Rite Aid for any prescription needs. We drove across town to the only 24 hour Walgreens to make sure our baby was taken care! Be better for your customers who clearly have a medical need!

This location has gotten better about mask safety. I have gone back a few times and didn't see anyone who wasn't wearing a mask. Also, their selection of healthy snacks has improved. I came looking for gluten free snacks not expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised to find all kinds of healthy snacks from the familiar (Pirates Booty, Pop Chips, Coconut Chips, Kind Bars, Luna Bars) to the new (hummus chips, Moon Cheese, quinoa chips). It saved me a trip to the grocery store.

I called to see if I left my Ebt card at the store and they put me on hold and never got back to me. I felt like I wasn't Important at all. A simple yes or no would have been good. Sincerely, Julie frustrated caller.

Wow, what a Rite Aid experience. For the last months, I have been searching for the limited edition Lady Gaga Chromatica Oreos and I have had zero luck. After checking three other Rite Aids, two Targets, and two 7-11s, I began to give up, but I called this Rite Aid location with little expectations. I immediately felt horrible calling and asking merchandise questions (I have a friend in the pharmacy industry and she dislikes these types of the calls), but the cashier politely put me on hold to attend her duties as a cashier (which I respect), and I believe a manager answered the phone, but I can't know that for sure. What I do know is that this young man made my dreams come true by offering to hold their stock of Lady Gaga Oreos. He offered 3 packs, but by the time I got to the store, he found MORE and left them up at the front for me. I did not buy out the stock out of respect for the little monsters in the PDX area, but I appreciated the gesture. Wonderful Rite Aid. To the man I spoke to on the phone, thank you. This is the premier location to get your Gaga Oreos in the Portland Metro Area.

This is the largest most well organized Rite Aid that I have ever been to. The aisles are well stocked including all of the necessary supplies during this Pandemic like hand sanitizer, 70% rubbing alcohol, toilet paper, paper towels, and cleaning wipes. Have no idea why this store has an average of 2 stars; it makes absolutely no sense to me. Maybe those living outside of the city limits are spoiled because if you live in downtown Portland or in inner Portland, this store is a paradise compared to the Rite Aids or Walgreens there. For example, impressive wine and adult beverage area; lots if seasonal and outdoor items; vast card selection; great finds in the $ aisle like sponges, a small strainer and toilet bleach tablets: lots of magazines, snacks, beauty, vitamins, and even pet supplies. After today's visit, I will make a point of driving to Oak Square for my Riteaid and Walgreen runs. For my pharmacy, I'll stick to the Riteaid closer to my house but for everything else, this is the place!

I have always loved this company. I've been a regular shopper at various Rite Aid stores for years. But never have I been treated as poorly as I was tonight at the Miluakee Rite Aid. It has been a reoccurring experience that if I am at a Rite Aid just before close I will probably be shooed out of the store or not allowed in the store if it's 5 minutes before closing (even if I just need to run in to pick up my mail (BEFORE CLOSING)! But tonight I was treated as if there was something disgusting about my presence. I was asked to leave the store, not allowed to purchase the items in my cart. And the worst part? I was away from home for 2 hours so I could grab some essentials and buy a couple little surprises for my son who has been such a trooper with all the C19 restrictions. I'm sorry Rite Aid hired a person with horrible people skills and a rotten attitude. But being shamed to the degree that I was will prevent me from ever walking into a Rite Aid store again.
