Very cool vibe in a beautiful little town, and a surprisingly great stop on my quest to get a burger in every town in Oregon. Definitely find your way to the Longbranch Bar & Grill.Monroe is a clean, quiet, charming town in the middle of nowhere & the middle of everything at the same time. I found myself in the rough area and decided to visit Monroe for the first time and cross them off the Great Oregon Burger Bucket List. I chose the Longbranch Lounge over the local brewery as the other reviews strongly favored the burger here.The Longbranch is clearly a local institution. Very well maintained on the inside, absolutely welcoming. Family friendly with activities ready to go. Easy parking, spacious seating inside. Well lit but a little cold. Ducks and Beavers memorabilia, so clearly a town that can rise above divisions! Great selection of beer and liquor. Solid menu for a variety of tastes.Went with the spicy burger on the recommendation of the bartender-the Dragon! (the burger, not the bartender). Decided to go with onion rings today but will need to come back for fries.Amazing burger. Big, beefy, spicy and just a little sweet. Thick bacon and perfectly cooked beef had me halfway though the burger on my “first taste”, holy cow! Huge burger but you'll annihilate it before you can blink. The complex yet complimentary flavors of the BBQ sauce, onion straws, bacon, cheese, and jalapeño jam make it a dance party in your mouth.Solid onion rings. Not as life changing as the burger, but excellent nonetheless. I got the secret sauce to dip in for the sake of trying it. Not my favorite sauce but I bet some would absolutely love it. It's also complex and isn't bad, just not my cup of tea.Having been to over 100 towns in Oregon for a burger now, the Dragon Burger from Longbranch Bar & Grill is a Top 5 burger. Amazing burgers, we usually go before 8 so the kiddos can come with. Fries are amazing. My 4 year old said the fries were better than mcdonalds. Love the inside, i want to try the Chicken friend steak next time. So good!!Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome before 8 and and the staff don't mind the kids

I was really surprised by the food. Expecting typical "bar food" but I was wrong. I got the jalapeno popper burger and it was delicious. They also had a good variety of beer on tap. Lots of locals. Very friendly atmosphere.

We stopped in after the lunch rush 10/31/2023. Bartender was super friendly. Fried pickles were especially delicious, onion rings just how I like. My spouse had their version of a BLT, which hes said was perfect. Great food,

Food was great! Service was poor. Felt invisible to Meghan. First time here and her regulars were more important to her. Very little eye contact. Was unable to hear me ask for service on multiple occasions. No smiles. Took 15 minutes to get a drink. I guess i should have asked for a drink before a menu. Good food, good atmosphere, atrocious service. Won't return.

Several months ago, we went here to enjoy broasted chicken and Jo’s. Chicken was burnt & when we sent it back, we got an attitude from the waitress. We tried again today. Hubby ordered fish & chips and I ordered their special, a prime rib quesadilla. Fish was super greasy as was the quesadilla. The homemade fri s and jalapeño rolls were really good. Service was so so. Waitress disappeared and didn’t come back until we paid to ask if we needed refills. We will try one more time in a few months.

This is from a frequent patron. Terrible service with one specific server. Downright rude. Other servers are amazing and a joy. This particular server is slow, inept, never gets the order right and we basically wait on our self by going to the bar for everything. No wonder this place is never busy anymore. Won’t be back.
