It was a much needed rest stop, but they need to create more parking for trucks and cars

A grest state park by the Columbia River. Nice clean restrooms. It is next to the interstate so you do have traffic noise that is the only reason I did not give it a 5 star.Restrooms: Were nice and very cleanDog-friendliness: As long as your dog is on a leash you can walk them through out the park

Very nice landscaped park with lots of trees and grass. Small playground structure for kids. The campsites are nicely spaced apart. All the sites have water which is nice. The campground is between the freeway and the railroad but the railroad is below the campground and the freeway is above it. So we were not bothered by the background noise.

Clean little rest stop with a lovely view. The educational plaques were interesting and provided a good excuse to stretch our legs on a long car trip.

As others have stated it is located between I-84 and active railroad tracks so you will hear them at all hours. With that being said it wasn't as noisy as I was expecting. The ground squirrels while cute the first day, are a real nuisance. Make sure your food is secure as they have zero fear of people and will try to take food from your plate while eating. No water access to Columbia river(short drive to access river in either direction). The views are exceptional!!Playground: SwingsRestrooms: 2 sets of restrooms, 1 with showersDog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome but must be on leash(5 ft) at all times.

We enjoyed our 2 day stay. We scored the best site (site 33) in the campground due to a cancelation the prior week. Nice river view and space between the sites on both sides.

Nice rest stop. Definitely much needed. Was really busy. But it was a long drive for me down to the dalles. I was raving about how beautiful of a drive it was. And this rest stop was great!

Nice place to stop e route. Facilities are clean.Free dessert - blackberries are plentiful.Railway on one boundary, I84 in the other. We vise train over road noise. Good shade, windy but you can mitigate this by choice of site. Water views but no beach access

Nice location on the banks of Columbia River Gorge, 11 miles west of The Dalles. Bright sunny day, airy night, the cooling shade of the maple, willow and cottonwood trees. On summer nights, the park’s grassy meadows are the perfect spot to observe the nightly celestial performance.Restrooms: The area is huge comparatively just 2 restroom area is not sufficient. Main washroom has water clogging issue and rangers use to lock the restroom in every alternate hour which is annoying.

So much more than a rest area! Very nice place to get out to stretch your legs and spend some time.Plenty of walking paths with great views od the Columbia River and the surrounding geography.Very nice interpretive display, that talks about the geography and cultural history of the area.
