Beautiful view! They might be a motel, but they have remodeled their rooms and upgraded their outdoor area to compete with a hotel! You overlook a gorgeous wetland valley that has white herons, ducks are various other bird species and on the media that flank the waters edges there are deer that graze. It is so peaceful and picturesque! The rooms are clean and the nights were quiet, too.

I loved this little place! The owner was really charming, friendly and hospitable. The building is old and the owner/manager has made some great effort to keep it comfortable. As hotel/motel beds go, this one was as comfortable as any I've slept in including at higher priced/fancier hotels. And, the views are stunning! I really appreciated the efforts the owner made to make space to be in the outdoors at this property. Highly recommend!

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay. Our room has sunny sweeping views of the valley and wetlands. Destination spot for birders. Owned by the kindest woman who seems so cheery and friendly. We loved picnicing here and spending time walking the well manicured grounds. We also love that they are pet friendly.

Myrtle Trees Motel is one of the best little, quiet, peaceful places that I've ever stayed at. Some of the most beautiful scenery around.
The family that owns it and runs it are the most wonderful, sweetest people you'll ever meet.
If you want peace and quiet and sounds of nature; I highly recommend that you visit the Myrtle Trees Motel.

Cozy little, dog-friendly motel in the middle of nowhere between Grants Pass and Coos Bay. Jill was super nice, accommodating my late night check in. Rooms are tight but comfortable, with clean bathrooms, mini fridge, great shower, and fast WiFi. My dog loved the expansive back grass area to play, run and sniff. Comfy bed gave me a good nights sleep to continue my journey. Town is not much but it does have a 24-hour convenience store and deli if you roll in late.

We have been using Myrtle Trees for our workers to stay at whether they are working in Coquille or Bandon or Coos Bay for several years now. They are very nice and clean rooms. The staff (Jill) is the nicest lady ever and a joy to call up and schedule.

I found the Myrtle Trees motel entirely adequate and this is NOT BAD.
I needed a place to crash after a long drive from Seattle that was near my kids camp. The desk staff was nice when I rolled in 10 minutes from closing. The room was cozy, clean and nicely decorated. There were lots of plugs, which was nice. The bed was comfortable. I adored the roadside motel aesthetic from decades past, as well as the hanging plants everywhere.
If you are concerned about ventilation, the rooms have big windows that open for lots of fresh air and a window in the bathroom so you can get cross ventilation - no sharing air with other units.
Was this the nicest place EVER I’ve stayed. No. Does Myrtle Trees Motel deserve the same 5 stars I would give the nicest place EVER? Absolutely. Because it does what it says on the tin and in a world of fancy schmancy, it’s refreshing to find a good, clean roadside motel with nice staff. Thanks!
