I needed to regear my Jeep for larger tires and called around to a bunch of off-road shops that said it would take months to schedule and cost thousands. Found Drivetrain Specialities accidentally while buying something next door and they could take my Jeep in a couple days and charged much less than the big chain off road shops. Both guys there owned jeeps and were super familiar with how their axles work. We did a 500mi inspection and everything was perfect, I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Paul runs a great shop. His team repaired my 4runner transmission in a reasonable time frame and for a reasonable price. While they were installing a new clutch and assembly Paul called and said my front brakes were worn down to near metal. I was hesitant due to other mechanics attempting to upsell me in the past but I have been going to him off and on for 15 years so I trusted what he was saying. He called a second time to admit they tore a boot accidentally and had to replace it. He drove 30 minutes and didn't charge me a thing to make it right. When I returned he showed me how worn the clutch was and a brake pad that was, no joke, almost down to metal on metal just like he said. 5 star service since I was 17 bringing in the ol' orange '80 Malibu.Edit: I forgot to mention how affordable they are 250 dollars cheaper, for the clutch, than any repair shop I could find. The work was done in a single day as well. Unheard of speed for a clutch replacement.Services: Transmission repair
