Sevice going downhill badly this year. We have been to HR&Block Newberg for over 10 years as loyal customers and always happy with their knowlegable, professional service, so we didn't mind paying hefty price. but this year is the weirdest of all and opposite of previous experience. After submitting documents and a brief talk with tax pro, she said she would work on it later as we needed more documents. We were expecting some follow up call during or at the end of tax process and we thought tax pro would review and lookover everything to make sure all right before filing and explain the result to us,just like before, but this part was totally cut out this year, except for a call from office to pay it. We asked to review&approve before paying, they said No. We have questions hanging in the air and wanted to ask our tax advisor, answer is still NO. We asked front desk the itemized price, No again(even ad says upfront&transparent price). All these reasonable procedures happened in previous years, but suddently no more. You won't get same service anymore from this hefty price. We didn't know why this charged so much&what we were getting/number correct or not, should approve or not, but must pay it, then leave. We had to spend long time later to research online on our own to find tax answers,but why should we pay so high cost for a tax pro? It seems that HR&Block only cares your payment now, nothing else. It's very disappointing and we wont' go back to HR&Block next year.

Every year I have my taxes done locally here in Newberg at HR Block, except I also get to use the benefits of the app so most of my paperwork is done at home and I have someone look over and finalize everything. skipping the appointment and only a signature needed. - Thanks
