This is an old building, with all the spilled milk, long ago rotting food and sitting water scents soaked into the masonry. All of that is difficult to mitigate without a teardown.
This place carries the same brands at about the same prices you see at Safeway or QFC as it's all the same company, ultimately.
The big issue this place has is no well-marked public bathrooms. Upon finding them when I asked (through the left-side wall, where employees enter and exit the black, plastic doors). You walk to your right, past stock, upstairs and past the break room, to find some of the nastiest, worst condition bathrooms you will ever see in a store. The toilets are stained with fecal matter. One seat was broken at the hinge. The door knob won''t lock, so they installed a whimpy chained lockbar at the top. The toilets have no doors. The toilet paper dispensers are all broken, so there are rolls just sitting on top, and you can tell by the filth on the broken dispenser edge, this has been the case a long time.
Unfortunately, we had to make do as we were not close to home.
The employees are friendly, so they have that.

I just took back a loaf of Dave's Bread that Naps charged my wife $8.25 for. I've been shopping there for 33 years. With that sort of extortionary pricing I doubt I will go there again.

I like supporting these smaller stores when possible- this one is a throwback to the 80's/90's. Employees are friendly and the selection is awesome.

Actually go out of my way to try to support this place, since it's 24 hours and local. Sometimes it's difficult, today was probably the last straw. I keep hearing how the fried chicken is pretty good, decided to give it a try I got a few pieces and like always the old ladies and the deli were just mean as can be, she picked around and gave me the coldest tiniest pieces available. I told her that she gave me the tiniest pieces, and she said yeah. Not sure why, she didn't seem to want me or I guess my kind in the store whatever that would be in her eyes. I tried to laugh it off and mention it to the cashier, and she said yeah we got to give the tiny bad pieces to somebody. I was just stunned, left my purchases and walked out. I'm just surprised that they tried to run people out because the place is almost always empty and just looks like it's going out of business
