Newport Fred Meyer Bakery was awful! Don’t recommend trying to order a cake from them. It was *almost* comical. I got hung up on 4 times when I was trying to order a birthday cake. The 5th time I just got transferred to customer service, who said she was sorry I kept having to call back! She would page the bakery and figure out what was going on. Then she came back on and had to tell me the entire bakery staff just went to lunch, so she’d have to take my name and number to finish my order. (Like they hung up on me mid order and went to lunch?????) No one ever called back. (I was literally ordering any kid car/hotwheel design or dinosaur anything, with whatever colors were easiest/whatever they would choose for a boy. I told them I’m not picky whatsoever, it’s for a toddler. So I know I was not being difficult…)

It's SO nice to have active transportation-friendly places to shop on the coast! I always see at least one or two people arriving by bike, & Freddie's has bike parking near the doors. I usually ride the bus to shop here (with my shopping backpack of course!) & store employees always seem kind & friendly any time I want to interact. One woman even helped me find something while she was shopping on her break! Glad they still have my favorite coffee after their remodel. About shopping backpacks—I am guessing some of the employees here probably walk to work with backpacks themselves, so they get it. Cheers!

Do not work here! I was let go unlawfully due to a mistake made by HR, right before the holidays. The store manager, Erica, told me that she would rather accept a fine from BOLI than pay me. I will be filing a civil rights complaint with the ACLU. Fred Meyer's corporate HR did not return any of my calls, but I am not surprised. I am extremely disappointed in the working conditions in the Newport area, and most of the unsafe and negligent working conditions in this area are caused by incompetent and discriminatory mangement practices.

Fred Meyer was good before they started restructuring the whole store. Now I can't find anything anymore and it's really frustrating. Thinking switching to a different store to buy my groceries.

Shame on you Fred Meyer!!! We the voters of Oregon voted to keep our gasoline attendants at their jobs and fueling our vehicles. We did not VOTE and agree on bringing "Self Serve" to our local fueling stations! Now my waiting is unnecessarily long and fuel attendants have lost their jobs, again unnecessary!Your store selection of organic offerings is also dearly lacking and the store always smells like rotting fish.I am over it!!!!

0 stars for the fact they allow staff at the gas station to get 5 inches from a paying customers face pointing a finger and being a disrespectful harasser. Because they feel someone didn't read the screen/questionnaire fast enough when self serving gas.... The manager is spineless to allow such intimidating aggressive conduct among employees and there's nothing else to do with the situation. I don't care who someone is, it's not acceptable for a pump attendant to behave disgracefuly and be threatening in public to a customer !!!!!!!

We've been going to Fred Meyers since 2019, when we moved to Oregon. The produce has gone down hill, we don't buy our beef or pork there. The overall feeling of the store is disappointing. The new remodel feels like there is no rhythm or reason. Wish there was another option other than Walmart.

The Fred Meyer super store in Newport Oregon is clean, the people are friendly, and it has anything a person would need. The prices here seem to be competitive to the other stores in our area. You can shop around for better deals on some products

This review is based on their DELIVERY option...I have purchased delivery orders here a few times. I always spend a bunch of money to make the delivery worthwhile. However, this is the third time where I have placed a delivery order and it has been extremely mismanaged. My delivery order was supposed to come yesterday (3/2). After it being delayed several times I reached out to customer service and asked what was going on. They said that there were no drivers assigned to it and asked if I wished to cancel or reschedule. I rescheduled for today. It is now 3pm, and my delivery order was scheduled for 2pm. I have not received an update or status of this delivery today yet. When I just reached out to customer service they said my delivery time had been changed to Mar 3, 10pm-12am. What a ridiculous time for an order to arrive, the store is closed at that time, and my confirmation text said 2pm-4pm. Besides that, who wants their groceries to arrive in the middle of the night!?I have had 3 successful deliveries since the other 2 issues prior to those, so I thought I would give it a shot again. This is seriously unacceptable. How can I safely place an order and expect it to be delivered when nothing arrives? I needed the things in that order yesterday, but I went a day without. Now customer service is saying if I want to change it to pickup I need to cancel the order and replace it. That means I would have another $300 hold on my checking account for a mistake that is made on behalf of Fred Meyer. If there are no drivers available why even offer the delivery option? Why give a time frame?Makes no sense!
