The Newport Visual Arts Center, located at the historic Nye Beach Turnaround, is a facility built by the City of Newport as a public art exhibition space and for art education programs and maintained by the Oregon Coast Council for the Arts. Opening in 1983, the Newport Visual Arts Center (or “VAC”) is the largest facility on the Oregon Coast built specifically for the exhibition of visual art. The VAC includes three traditional gallery spaces, as well as the newer “media room” and “Classroom Gallery.”

I can only talk to the rented event area they have available as I was there for a party we booked. The views are fantastic here and our caterer managed just fine in the attached kitchen. Plenty of chairs and tables and direct exterior access. Did I mention the beautiful sweeping ocean views!

Smaller space. Different exhibition on each floor. The bottom floor was the reason we were there.
