Oregon Coast Aquarium nestled along the stunning Pacific shoreline, offered my toddlers an amazing experience. They explored interactive exhibits that brought the coastal ecosystem to life, featuring a diverse array of sea creatures, from colorful tide pool inhabitants to majestic sharks. They loved the enchanting underwater tunnels providing a 360-degree view of the ocean realm. With a strong emphasis on marine conservation and education, the Oregon Coast Aquarium provided a memorable and educational experience for visitors of all ages. I loved the curated book collection for kids to read, along with the ones displayed for purchase. My kids felt that their favorite book, “Big Beautiful Ocean,” was brought to life.My toddlers get excited when they see something from picture books in reality.

This aquarium has a cafe and a jellyfish exhibit upon entry to the aquarium. The aquarium is not inside, but has outside walking paths to the exhibits. Some of the exhibits are puffins, and passages of the deep which has like an entire eco-system including sharks, schools of fish, stingrays, etc.Overall I would come here again.

Incredible. We had a downright excellent day of exploring. Each exhibit is thoughtfully and beautifully presented. My favorite by far was the Coastal Life room - the displays in here are GORGEOUS. I absolutely loved the nudibranches.

This is a great place to bring kids (not so much toddlers because they won't remember much) but it's great for older kids. If you have a toddler, don't forget the stroller!

Went today 2/11/2024. Very disappointed. I'm a local and paid full price to see practically nothing. They were under construction and it clearly isn't worth the money to spend there. They didn't even offer a discount. Won't be going again and will not recommend anyone to go. Just very very disappointed.

The Oregon Coast Aquarium is excellent and a great experience. The only reason I have for writing a 1 star review is one of the young ladies at the ticket gate entrance. She was incredibly rude and condescending to my family and I when we approached to purchase our tickets. We were not greeted whatsoever, just starred at until she blurted, " So do you need tickets, or have passes, or what?" Then after purchasing tickets turned to her co-workers and laughed at us as if to suggest how stupid we were. It was one of the rudest experiences I have ever had trying to enter a family establishment. It was hard to shake off her rudeness for awhile after entering the aquarium. The aquarium is excellent but this rude employee needs to lose her customer service job since she obviously knows nothing on the matter.

Don't get me wrong I'm writing a five-star review because we enjoyed it but overall bias just because we enjoyed it is not what I like to blindly do, here's the important stuff, we arrived three adults one under 18 it was a total of $109, we went in no wait, All the important main exhibits are free but the smaller things like food drinks and for example the hurricane simulator are not, at certain times there's a chance for you to see the animals getting fed it's over the loud speaker you won't miss it, it's a medium sized area for you to cover so if you walk for example slowly you may only get to half of the exhibits in half an hour for example. Overall it's pretty fun if you are like me who Is enthusiastic about aquariums and outings, but if you are a little strapped on cash and are thinking twice about it I would recommend otherwise.

Visited the aquarium on 01/31/2024 We were told about construction going on and decided to pass due to the rain and us having little ones. Definitely appreciated that! We were able to go into the gift shop and pick a few toys out which was nice. Everyone at the front of the house and gift shop were wonderful. Love the transparency about the closures

After a not so wonderful experience at another local attraction, my boyfriend and I decided to check out the aquarium. We noticed the sign about construction and asked the lady at the first window about the touch pool and she did inform us that the main one was closed but they do have a temporary one set up. We then asked about the Hatfield center vs the aquarium. She informed us she wasn't familiar with there set up. Was apologetic and asked her co worker right away! her co worker responded with such a great answer. We purchased our tickets and headed into the aquarium. Spent about 1:15 there. Watched the presentations which were such a delight. I wish I got both of the girls name, the girl at the first window had black/brownish hair and the other one had a shaved head. Loved it. They were both wonderful and explained everything! Loved to see happy co workers work together. Can't wait to be back for the opening for the new exhibits!!

I’ve been to this aquarium twice now and it’s really fun to visit if you’re in the area. It’s a decent size with a lot of different animals to see. There are both indoor and outdoor exhibits. They also have a fun gift shop to look at.

Despite all the recent negative reviews. I URGE people to do their OWN due diligence by checking the website before visiting. It CLEARLY states the 2 exhibits are closed and under construction. This is a fact YOU missed and it is YOUR fault, and now want to leave negative reviews for such an amazing place, get a grip on reality. Although I do wish you complainers could see this aquarium in its entirety. These renovations are necessary for the wildlife and for the future of this aquarium. It's obvious you don't care about the aquatic life and are selfish. We have seen it change many times since coming here. This is the best aquarium I've ever been too. We live in another state and come here every 6 months or so and visit Lincoln city. This aquarium is a staple, must go to we plan everytime we come here before driving home. The sea otters are my absolute favorite. My future daughter nickname will be little otter and I bought a few of the otters children's book at the gift shop. The aviary volunteers are always so pleasant to talk too. The people working or volunteering here really care and it shows.

Today I returned to the Oregon Coast Aquarium, for perhaps the 25th time in the last 15 years or so. Not only is this place a highlight of coastal Oregon, it's one of the best aquariums I've visited in the entire country! We do not live in Oregon, but we so enjoy visiting there that we've maintained a family membership to the aquarium for the past few years, which we use every time we are visiting in the Newport area. They have an incredible variety of marine life on display. From playful otters and seals to the mesmerizing octopus, they cover the whole spectrum of the ocean realm. They have sharks, colorful fish, tidepool creatures, and even adorable puffins in their outdoor aviary. My personal favorite exhibit is "Passages of the Deep," where you walk through an underwater glass tunnel surrounded by mesmerizing schools of fish. The entire facility is top-notch, clean, and inviting, and the staff and volunteers are always eager to help and offer information. It's a fantastic experience for people of all ages. If you're ever in the Newport area, you should absolutely take the time to visit the Oregon Coast Aquarium.

Free the animals. The place is dirty and the animals need to be set free. Make your money without the use of animals. Let the animals be the way God intended them to be, FREE AND NOT TRAPPED. Hey, thanks for not appropriately saving the life the diminutive sea turtle. Your efforts were damned.
