First, a little backstory, which will make sense a little bit later. We purchased a preowned Mazda CX5 from Damian Lillard Toyota in McMinnville-we live in Newberg-on Thursday, the 13th of November. We had made plans to come to the Oregon coast for Thanksgiving weekend and were headed to Yachats on Thanksgiving day, and we were passing through Newport when we decided we wanted lunch. We stopped at Taste of India (delicious!)and when we got out of the car I noticed our right front tire was almost flat. Crap! Mind you it was storming like crazy, really blowing. Thankfully there is a Chevron next door and after lunch we filled the tire. It went as well as you might imagine, hubby got the hose stretched out to the tire, I had to figure out how to hold the debit card up to the machine (in a gale, don’t forget)so that it would read it- the magnetic stripe reader didn’t work, tap only. Him: I told you not to start it yet!” Me: I’m trying to get it to read the card! Typical spousal bickering. We get the tire back to driving shape and we headed on to Yachats, checked the tire upon arrival and it had lost 5-6 lbs of pressure already. We’ve got a problem! Nothing open, don’t forget.The plan was made to bring it back to Sunwest first thing the next morning. Did I mention these tires are brand new Yokohamas that Lillard’s put on to sell the car? Two weeks ago?! Next morning Ken heads to Sunwest and the service department got the vehicle in right away, discovered a damaged valve stem (likely from the mounting procedure) and fixed it promptly. The technician went ahead and checked all the tires, as well, giving me piece of mind. Shout out to the technician that worked on the red CX5, and to Liz and the rest of the crew for helping us out and getting our vehicle back on the road for our weekend away. We really appreciate it!

I had a leak in windshield, called on a Friday, took my truck in that day!! Started looking for leaks, discovered needed new windshield, had it replaced by Wednesday
The staff was amazing, from the guys in the shop to the parts dept and especially the lady that gave me a rental for 5 days!!
Mike, your staff is highly customer friendly!! I would reccomend anyone to visit your dealership!!

Seems like they was able to help out with diagnosing my car but one of the employees I assume thought it was OK to ran sack my vehicle almost and go through everything they didn’t steal but $15 worth of stuff but just the fact that they have the audacity to go to someone’s vehicle like that is pretty ridiculous to show the trustworthy of people and everything like that in a business on my own doing I’ll never go here just for this reason which sucks cause I would have definitely went there in the future

Just bought a car from SunWest, and it was an altogether pleasant experience, completely defying all the stereotypes about car dealerships. I worked with Teal (sales rep), Jana (finance) and Jeff (management), all of whom were informative and no-pressure.
I went to SunWest in large part because of the recommendations from local Mazda and Honda owners who'd worked with them.
My previous dealership-interactions at other places were some time ago, and not always great, so I was wary about going into this car buying project. However, I'll compare this one quite favorably with my purchase of a Saturn in 2006. Remember Saturn? There was one price at all dealerships for a given model - no negotiating, just straightforward sales with no pressure. This experience at SunWest was similar: very pleasant, easy, no pressure, fair price, no time wasting, none of that notorious (and stereotypical) experience of being jerked around between the sales rep and the manager. Everyone was great to work with, and of course I love the car too (2024 Mazda CX-5)
Very good experience, would recommend.

Ordered a key fob for my Mazda two weeks ago. Called a week ago to ask how much longer it will be and I was told "I don't know, whenever Mazda feels like sending the key fob to us." Haven't heard from them since. Don't recommend this dealership at all.

This is what a car dealership should be. Ken was incredibly kind, helpful, and honest, and I got exactly the deal I asked for. We will definitely be back when we are ready to buy another vehicle, and I’ve already recommended Sunwest and Ken to my friends who are in the market! Thanks for taking such great care of us.

My car club did a trunk or treat in the parking lot that had a great turn out by members and trick or treaters. Sunwest has always been a great dealership with some of the best employees working for them. 5 stars to Sunwest

I recently took my vehicle to Sunwest for maintenance and repairs. Chris in the service department was extremely helpful with getting parts quickly so the mechanic could do his job. The detail crew even washed my vehicle for me. Thanks to the whole team for a job well done!

Great people there ! Very honest, friendly and great down to earth people ! I'd send my best friends and family to buy a vehicle there or have service work done . After buying one of our first cars from them we went back and bought a second one from the same great people .for us it it little over 3 hour drive round trip to Sunwest and well worth it . Very happy each time and all the vehicles are well priced , ?

Where do I start!? I came into sunwest not really knowing what I wanted. I was so lucky to have been referred to Bill, he helped walk me through everything stress free. I definitely felt as though i was getting a car that fit my needs and budget and not trying to be oversold on all the bells and whistles which let's be realistic I would LOVE to have but just weren't a necessity for me. If your looking for someone to help get you through an awesome car buying experience I highly recommend Bill! I decided to take advantage of the higher value for tradeins right now so went in to Sunwest Honda, Newport and worked with Ken. He was very professional and very nice to work with. In fact everyone I encountered was very nice. I was happy with the negotiation and traded in my 2018 Honda CR-V for a 2022 Honda CR-V Touring. It took one hour, start to finish (no financing involved). I had an issue with Android Auto so went back the next morning and the gentleman who finalized the deal the day before spent an hour trouble-shooting. In the end it turned out to be a hardware issue with my phone unrelated to the new car. He was so patient and I was very impressed. I would definitely recommend Sunwest Honda!!
