The pantry is run by volunteers who gift their time to assist their community! Without their kindness having a pantry in Nyssa would not be possible. If you find yourself in a position to need their services make sure you thank them!

Usually I would give a five. But today me and my friend went to the food bank it's usually at four but what we weren't told was the hours changed to 1:00 p.m. today and so when we went we found that out by looking at the door but heads up not everyone stares at the door and knows the times I usually look at the internet but forgot to today. That being said me and my friend had no idea and lost on the opportunity of having food when we have none and now have to go 6 to 7 days till we get our SSI to get food. 6 to 7 days we're going to be hungry so I am very frustrated when last night someone could have said something to me and my friend when we picked up the turkey basket. So I am extremely upset poor communication. And as if that wasn't bad enough me and my friend walked all the way there in the rain our heads were wet and it was breezy and cold just walk all the way there and back home.

Miss lafoodbank is pretty good that people are good you should have a good experience and the food is Fair they usually try to give you enough if they have it

Lived here a couple years but recently in a bummer situation. Felt embarrassed to go to a food pantry. I’ve always managed to survive and support my kids so this was hard. The elder lady that signed me up with a young boy “in training” I assume, maybe a grandchild, doesn’t matter, but they were both kind and welcoming. I’ve cried about it TBH. Even the ladies that put heavy boxes of food in my car that probably get low pay to do this over and over or maybe even volunteer because they’re good people. I really don’t know. But either way, I’m thankful for them. They probably don’t get thanked enough. I’m definitely going back next month to tell them how much I appreciate their part in giving to the community.

The people are friendly and I also dropped off a supply of face masks that I made for giving out to patrons who need them.
