I've been shopping at this store since I moved here in 2001 and have seen a steady decline in quality and service on all levels. There are a few long-term staff members who are always willing to help but, on the whole, it's hard to find a staff member anywhere in the store except the checkout. The main reason I keep going is that it's close to my house. Tonight, I walked out after I saw a woman with her pet dog (not a service animal) walk in carrying a bag of poop and put it in the trash. There was another young woman with a puppy/small dog in her sweatshirt. Again, not a service animal or she wouldn't be carrying it. Freddie's either needs to enforce the "no pets in grocery stores" law or take the sign off the door and pay the penalty for breaking the law. I recommend Safeway on King Road -- always clean, nice people and NO PETS.

I have frequented this Fred Meyer for the past five or six years and have recently started doing curbside pickup with them. The indoor shopping experience is fine. Normal for a Fred Meyer, nothing standout. Average cleanliness, average service, parking is fine, just very normal. The curbside pickup experience has been good with a few hiccups. Employees are very nice and I've seen some of the same employees there for a few years. Mostly nice kids, respectful, and very easy to prepay and pick up things like alcohol with a quick ID scan. Also not very busy, so super easy to get in and get out with that service. I've had a few issues with incorrect orders, but it's primarily getting things that I didn't order. I once had a missing item and was notified immediately, the employee was obviously apologetic and it was no big deal. Appreciate the employees!

People in service departments not willing to help you find anything store, managers refusing to come help you if you're looking for absolutely horrible service this is the place for you every single person that we interacted with on our visit displayed a begrudgingly disgusting attitude toward helping us . This store like the entire town of Portland is dead and dying. What a shit hole.

I went by at around 5 pm and it wasn't insanely busy? Well, there were notices posted at the entrance that said all refrigerated units and freezers were "offline". Not good. Maybe advertising more will fix it?
