Delicious! The gentleman at a neighboring table gave the fish tacos a 10, and we agreed! We had chowder, fish and chips, loaded fries, with berry shortcake for dessert. Everything was amazing, with a spectacular view of the ocean thrown in. If you get to visit this tiny town, don't miss the Blue Agate Cafe. ?

Very rude owner who refuses to turn down the blaring radio from his kitchen at 8am in the morning that is connected to the cabin we rented that not only woke my fiancé and I but our dog is shaking from the noise! It’s excessive to the point we know what they are saying in the kitchen and what songs are playing. …was met with a lame excuse that they have been here longer than the cabins and that he would turn the music down and had no idea anybody was staying here. Which they ended up blasting the radio 3 mins later! What a jerk you can’t even think it’s so loud. This place also looked dirty and the appearance of the employees was questionable for someone touching your food! Beware of a rude owner and dirty kitchen since I had to go to the back door to get anyone’s attention the music was too loud for them to hear me knocking at the front door when we could see each other. lol. Glad we don’t have to deal with this daily. ?

Blue Agate Cafe is a nicespot overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The flavors of the tacos were delicious. We ordered the pulled pork tacos and the fish tacos, and both were amazing. They each had terrific flavor profiles. The fries were crisp and crunchy as well. And the staff is very friendly and helpful. Check this place out.

Nice little spot right in front of the main beach. Fish tacos were some of the best I've ever had. My only criticism is for the price I expected more that 2 little street tacos. Great staff and comfortable atmosphere.

Had a great breakfast "out back" at picnic tables (pet friendly dining). Order the hot chocolate. You won't be disappointed!

Crab cakes were a big disappointment for a place that has access to abundant fresh Dungeness crab. Small, greasy and dense. The rest of the breakfast was typical eggs, potatoes cooked the way you get them everywhere. Nothing special, yet pretty expensive for the meal. The view from the corner window was good and worth just sitting there with coffee for a while. The corner spot is cramped even for small folks, but if you are not big and there are two, or just you go for that corner spot - especially if you like people watching.

Adorable little cafe. We had the crab cakes, the shrimp and crab melt, the chicken bacon melt. The apple Chantilly pesto was delicious and the sourdough bread had the most amazing cooked cheesey crust on it. Such great flavor in everything we had. I highly recommend this cute little cafe when in Oceanside!

The donut was delicious! Get them fast as they were out when we decided to take more for the road. The food was delicious, nothing fancy, but delicious. The only issue was that one of the dishes was served on a flimsy frisbee type plate that had holes in it. So, when you tried to fork the potatoes, you punched through the parchment paper and you had a hole in your plate. That was only with the burrito, the other meals had regular plates. If I were the restaurant, I'd 86 the frisbee plates. The food took a bit longer than I'd usually like but it was a busy Sunday morning and it wasn't exceptionally long. Crab cake benedict was great, too!

Tiny wooden building in the heart of Oceanside. A few tables offer nice views. The chowder was rich and loaded with crab and shrimp, but not very hot. No alcohol. Staff was friendly, but a little inattentive.

Google indicated that this place is open until 3 pm. Yelp says until 2 pm. We arrived here at 11:45 am (party of 2) and was turned away. The owner/manager walked by us and said to the host “No more! We need to go to the airport.” Host was apologetic about it, which I appreciate. We walked along the beach for a few minutes then decided to leave the area. To add insult to injury, when we passed this restaurant again, they had no less than 4 “OPEN” signs, including a neon one. If you’ve stopped serving people, at least make an effort to turn off/ turn the OPEN signs around.
