Went in this store today because of the soda coupons. When I got to the register it didn't ring up as I expected. Said no worries. I'll just void the transaction. Cashier went into this whole thing that if she voids my order she can get fired etc. Starts trying to swipe spare $5 off coupons she has in despiration. Trying to get one to work. I apologize again but explained I'm not spending $10 more than expected for something I really didn't need. It just seemed like such a good deal. Told her I'll explain to the Manager it was my fault. I should have just walked away but then the customer behind me gets involved because it's taking so long and she has no idea the situation. The cashier finally calls the Manager over and I explain I just want to cancel my order. She also is like if I take $5 off will you buy them. At that point I'm like whatever. Whole thing was just so uncomfortable. They couldn't get the $5 to come off and FINALLY they void. I put everything back on the shelf and I hear the cashier still talking crap about me to other customers. Walk out and simply tell the Manager thanks for voiding my order but hearing the cashier still talking about it is disappointing. I will never back. I just wanted to try a coupon hack. When it didn't work, I just wanted to cancel and it becomes a issues where I was embarrassed by staff.

and rude every time she opened her mouth.. I just got to town.. wow! Let's see how the rest of the encounters go. I plan on leaving a review every time !

Worst employees for their job in Ontario, Oregon. The manager needs to know better than that.

The manager acted put out when i asked if i could recycle my cans at that location. He told me he would count them in a few minutes, went back into his office and shut the door. I couldn't see any other customers in the store. Definitely nobody was in line to check out. For a manager i thought he was unprofessional, rude and a poor example to the other employees. Just a heads up if you take you cans to recycle. Dont expect a friendly smile while he counts.

This was our favorite dollar general however this is the second time I’ve come in and dealt with the rudest employees. I don’t mind casual gabbing with your friend but when a customer is friendly and they proceed to make snide and rude comments about the customer the second they go around the corner (where yes multiple people heard said comments) I won’t be returning. Especially when the comments were disgusting for grown women to be making about mothers shopping in the store.

Love the deals, hate the experience. About 90% of the times myself or other family members have visited the establishment we have been welcomed with poor attitudes by multiple employees. Asking simple questions as to where products can be located or times a store closes can assure you to receive an eye roll or short answers.1 star review due to poor customer service.

I went here tonight around 7:30- 8:15 pm.I love using self check out anywhere I possibly can. I like to see how much things are and go at my own speed. Also, I have a lot of anxiety and like to have less “adult” contact as possible. Tell me why, they feel the need to hover over you and ask you about mechanical questions about their machines? They have a slot to pour in coins, which I proceeded to do. An older gentleman grabbed the screen and flipped it towards him and asked me how many coins I put in there ( in the most doubtful voice ) I wasn’t exactly sure the amount but it wasn’t much. He was trying to make his job “easier” at the end of the night so make sure I was doing my “job” as a customer. If you are unsure that your machine is a Counting coins correctly, don’t come bark at customers, that is something for your higher management to handle, and maybe shut down self checkout. And especially doing it in front of a two-year-old child. I understand why people don’t go shopping anymore in person because customer service really needs improves. I don’t understand why some people are entitled to being like that. It won’t fly too long in Ontario. They loveeeeee to hover after time I go inTo the point where I used the wrong card…

Not a bad place too shop. You can find some really good deals on household products especially if you have the app. Only downside is the building has no windows and is basically a giant metal box so the app doesn't work in the building. The employee told us we have to go outside, get the coupon ready on the screen and come back to use it. This is the only reason why I haven't gone back unfortunately.

I love Dollar General!! Every time I go into this store I see something that isn't on my list but know is needed for household, pets or personal products (deodorant, pads/tampons and razors). There is never a long line to have someone check you out, or you can use self-check out. Dollar General has a little bit of everything and is reasonably priced! Check it out! You won't be disappointed! Happy shopping!
