I'm not getting that he hand held baskets are put away due to the flu (covid19) but the carts that get touched the same to worse (not sanitized after each use) is some how OK. i was so happy when Waremart took the hand held baskets when people checked out, not allowing people to take them out to their cars-which never come back. But after a time their supply dwindled. When I asked a few employees about it. I was told people come in and take them. A trucker came in and took 12-15 to put in his semi to organize his stuff. They said there is nothing they can do. WHAT! Waremart this is your property, don't allow people to steal from you like your neighbor across the street, Be smarter that that. Help the people that don't steal from you.

I understand social distancing in this time in our lives. I don't understand rude and unnecessary behavior. I was self checking out and needed some assistance since I purchased beer. The checker barked "6 feet" at me, so I backed up to about 10 feet in distance. She barked very rudely, " I said 6 feet." I backed as far as I could and held my tongue. She was then short with me and extremely rude. I know times are tough right now, I also work retail. She used the absolute worst tone with me. I may, or may not, come back. There are other retailers, I don't need this kind of treatment. Stay away from Waremart Ontario.

I used to like to shop at Waremart in Ontario. Beginning this year, Oregon state passed a law that dis-allowed plastic bags at the checkout. You now have to bring in your own bags or be charged for their paper bags. This is probably a good idea, but it's a real hassle. I have noticed that the produce at Waremart goes bad quickly and the milk often goes bad before the expiration dates. For these reasons, I'll be doing my shopping in Idaho. Sorry

started out a 5 good prices and lots of different foods..but then u can see prices rising has not stopped..
