“I inadvertently hit a massive pothole in Milwaukee, OR destroying my R front tire and severely bending the rim of my BMW 850. AAA towed me to Liberty Tire & Glass which fortunately was very close by. Being from out of town I was not familiar with this shop nor used them before. They found a replacement tire at a warehouse on the Portland waterfront and had it expedited to the shop for me in a couple of hours. While they were not equipped to straighten the rim, they did determine that while damaged it would hold air and installed the replacement tire for me so that I could drive the car back to my home in Bend, OR that same day. The responsiveness to my predicament by these people was nothing short of amazing, and they had me on my way in a matter of a few hours. They even loaned me a car to run an errand and get lunch while my car was being repaired! This sort of customer service is almost unheard of, and in particular for someone who was not a former customer and they of course had never met before. I can't recommend this business more highly after my experience with them - just wonderful people.”

The cherry on top was going back into my car and seeing that the entire front of the car had been cleaned, floors vacuumed, and everything wiped down like a mini detail. Super nice and not something I expected. Also a step above from when I'd used safelife in the past (for a back window.) They both worked to solve the problem quickly and to install a new windshield and have the vehicle ready to pick up by the end of the day. Both were extremely polite, professional, and knowledgeable. “Hoagland's Secret Sauce......It's hard to find experienced and well seasoned people these days. Gerber's mcloughlin blvd store in Portland seems to have figured out the secret sauce needed to balance what I need to keep coming back with what the business needs to do well. Managers like Ron Hoagland have this knack for handling difficult situations and turning them into great experiences. My beautiful old Jaguar got some great care and I got to talk with someone who's been there done that. To many people in the business are just putting in their time and collecting a check. Not the case with Gerber on mcloughlin and Ron Hoagland. You can just tell when someone has the experience needed to be a true pro while at the same time keeping my best interests in mind.
