I really wanted to love this business, I think they do a great job at grooming my dogs. We have 2 fluffy dogs that weigh between 45-55 pounds. I have always done the bathing and brushing myself but started using Pupcakes as I furthered into my pregnancy. The first time I booked with them, they really wow’d me with their great customer service, offered me a “puppy package” discount deal that I would be able to use a few times until she turned 1, and brought my other older sweetheart dog in that hadn’t been bathed in a few months and was probably in the worst shape he had ever been, groom-wise. They were exceptionally nice and I heard no complaints about my dogs. I was told they were changing to their mobile business. After another grooming session, the price was raised because they were no longer honoring the puppy deal. I understand the reasoning, just had wished they communicated this ahead of time. Or a simple “we will honor it this time but it will be changing in the future appointments.” And my last grooming was scheduled for 7 weeks later, and I received a number of complaints about my older dog as reasons for the price raising; one being a dime-sized bump on his shoulder, but he is not shaved and only bathed/brushed, so I wasn’t understanding why that would affect his grooming. Another being a patch of dry skin on his tail, again I wasn’t understanding how that affected his grooming. The last complaint, which I do understand, is his age causes him to need to take some breaks to sit down. However, I don’t think any of these reasons should justify raising the price by almost another hundred dollars. They are the same dogs, received the same service, and were getting on a routine grooming schedule— as I mentioned before, when my older dog was in the worst shape I have seen him in for our first groom, we didn’t receive complaints about him then or were given a price increase.
Unfortunately, we can’t spend the price I was charged every 6-7 weeks for grooming, on top of them reverting back to grooming in the shop versus mobile, on top of the puppy package deal I was given and then revoked after just one use; with all of that, I can’t justify the price. I was a little upset as I felt I got a “don’t come back” price, whether or not that was the case, is how it seemed to me. As a 10 year business owner myself in this town, that is actually very similar to this, I understand that prices change with the times and the services. I believe in full transparency with your clients, consistency, and excellent customer service, in order to keep your clients happy and coming back. Being treated like my elderly dog was an inconvenience to them and up-charged way more than what we believed was fair for a routine groom was upsetting to us.

I love taking our dog here. I sometimes forget what color he really is. When he comes back from Pupcakes his coat shines and he is so soft. Highly recommend. They love our pets as much as we do!!!!

PUPCAKES has been a very good choice for us. Our 16 year old poodle mix is very difficult to groom, as she gets cranky and squirms a lot. She has also developed skin tags all over her body. She always comes home looking great!

We came into Pendleton last night to visit family and while we couldn’t bring our dog the location we were able to leave our sweet boy here for doggy daycare! The early morning drop off was so nice and due to running late the tech was nice enough to take him back for me. We were so busy and not able to check in but we assume he had a great time as he was exhausted when we got him back and he slept the whole ride home to Eugene. We were told he had a good time and he was happy as a clam when he saw us. We will definitely use this puppy daycare when we’re in Pendleton again. Thanks for caring for Percy for us!

We love Pupcakes!!! I have been beyond impressed with the staff. They are friendly, professional, and took the time to understand my pup's needs. The grooming was flawless—Memphis looked and smelled amazing, and the whole process was stress-free for her. I highly recommend Pupcakes because they go above and beyond when they can. They value their pet client customers and that is important to me.

They wanted me to set up a mobile grooming appointment instead of coming in to the shop. Heck no, you’re going to over charge me because of travel time. I don’t want you at my house. Fix your scheduling website so people can’t make appointments at the shop for shaving a dog lol. What a joke.
