I had to take my little dog to Riverside as no one else had walk in or room for emergencies. He had been attacked by a much bigger dog and had huge puncture holes in his gut and entire belly was blue. Of course there is paperwork at some point in the process.i do understand that ...Before the tech even looked at the wounds I was told I had sign an estimate... 350-750$ before the doc even saw him. I signed it. I told them I would have to get a loan from my fam. I left him there as the tech said he would be taken care of. I left to get some money from family ... I made the mistake of telling them I did not get paid until fri. But was going to see what I could do. 15 min later, the veterinarian called to tell me to see if I had money yet. I reminded her I dud not get pd until fri. And I had not had the opportunity to speak to my fam abt. A loan. She told me that then I should come and pick him up . Also that it would be 90 $for the visit. . When I told her that I had not got to get money yet she replied "you can't even pay for an office visit? Definitely note of discust! Also added "that's not how this works you need to come pick up your animal. I never said I wasn't paying. I paid for the visit
It was very sad to pick up my dog who was clearly hurt. But was sent home to die ... or not. I paid the 90$ for the office visit in which the dr . Refused to help him. Didn't clean his wounds or anything. Not even sure she even looked sounds like she read what the tech said. He was moving fine and walking when I left....he is not moving now! Prob has internal bleeding. So I paid 90. To be degraded by the rudest vet ever and to watch my dog struggle to breath or move. Hes not eating or drinking now. And I'm lost until I can pay upfront.
I'm pretty pissed that walking into your filthy , smelly waiting room, sitting filthy chairs. And speaking to a tech for less than 5 min. Consists of an office visit.

Took my dog in. Was told there would be a $90 charge to see it. I said fine. I left the dog to go go get the money before I could get back. I was called by a nasty veterinarian telling me that I was in breach of contract to come get my dog.. I went in and paid them their $90, They never even weighed my dog gave it back to me kept my money and did nothing. Horrible people would not deal with them. All they care about is their money.
I think they should give me my money back since they did not even weigh him. Outrageous

We have used Riverside Vet Clinic for four decades. Unlike the negative review, their staff is long-term (I don't know for which clinic that review was written, but it was NOT for this clinic). They are caring, knowledgeable and spot-on with diagnosis and treatment. They work hard to get an urgent patient seen. This clinic is top-notch and we highly recommend it.

We had a very good experience here with our dog Macy. We were visiting from Seattle when she developed a slight issue with an incision site from a tooth extraction. We were worried about getting her in but the receptionist Robin worked with us and fit us in at the end of the day. Dr. Matthews and her assistant Britney were very good; polite, professional and thorough. They checked her vitals, examined the site and verified there were no infections. They were able to snip a small stitch to solve the issue.

The rudest office people I have come into contact with. When someone has to put their animal down for no matter what the reason is that is there pet! Have compassion!! Rude people!

Riverside Veterinary Clinic was a wonderful clinic while Dr Fine was there but once he retired he was replaced with Dr Jones, a veterinarian who does not even attempt to interact with her patients and is completely devoid of compassion. I will NEVER take a pet to her again.

I have used this Clinic for many years , I have recently switch entirely to a clinic in Hermiston for both my small and large animals . Unfortunately the owner does not seem to care about his clients and does not properly train staff. I have had multiple medication mistakes and was not told about a serious medical condition that my elderly dog had, (by the newer Vet ). There is a high staff turnover which showed that employees are not treated well either . I have heard the same from multiple people in the community .

I love Riverside. Been going since 2001. Pep is Almont 9 and they have taken care of throughout her life. They care. Price is not to much compared to others.

Riverside seems to be going downhill. The lobby was dirty and smelled unclean. We have been taking our German Shepherd for years and have received great care from Dr. Fred Robinson and Dr. Fine, however the new vet did not even try to proceed with our dog, saying he was aggressive and needed to come back after a round of medication to calm him down. So disrespectful to our time and she definitely did not try all avenues before she kicked him out the door. She also gave a warning to someone standing by saying she couldn’t open the door with them standing there because “there’s an aggressive animal.” Completely inappropriate. I guess when a shepherd gets scared and anxious going to the vet, it’s automatically assumed as aggression. We’ll be taking our business elsewhere.

Thank you so much for coming in late at night to take a look at my cat. I didn’t catch the Dr’s name, but he was so nice and caring to my family and my cat. I can not thank you enough for your kindness and compassion last night, while we said good bye to our little guy.
