I had a great experience with this shop. I (unfortunately) needed a new transmission. Local dealers were having a hard time even sourcing a replacement transmission and were quoting me months of turnaround time for labor. Transmission repair shops were asking nearly double the price of a new transmission just to remanufacture my damaged one. Jim at Pete’s was able to find me a new transmission with a warranty directly from Ford’s distribution center, had it delivered to his shop within the week, installed it, and had me back on the road just a couple of days later. I would wholeheartedly recommend Pete’s Certified Transmissions to anyone, they are nothing short of honest and professional.

I've gone to Jim for years now. I watch him once solve an issue with one of his team in the most professional and honest manner I'd ever seen in this space. He took care of a customer, his employee, and his business in what I would deem to be the single best right answer.
Also he's been right about my vehicles over the years INCLUDING sending me elsewhere when there's something he felt would be better suited to be done by another mechanic. I would send my mother here and trust Jim to take care of her.
Go to Jim. He'll tell you if he can help and he'll do it at a fair price.

Thanks, Jim! My 2007 Honda Accord V-6 is running smooth and quiet thanks to your shop! Another transmission shop in CP quoted me over $7000 to replace the transmission but Jim and his crew did it for MUCH less. Jim is a fine man to work with and I would go to his shop again.

Honest and capable. Could have sold me a $7,400 transmission rebuild. Instead diagnosed a different problem and didn't even charge me for it. Not only honest and capable, but a really fine person. His dog, Harper, is realy nice, too. :-)

I was experiencing some trouble with my 01 RAV-4 and suspected it was my transmission. A friend recommended I call Jim at Pete's Transmission. Jim had me come in as soon as I could to drop off my car. He explained the issues I was having clearly and gave me reasonable expectations on pricing/timeline. Overall I'm thrilled with the work done and will definitely return. Thank you so much, Jim!

If you are looking for a shop to build you an absolute terrible transmission that only lasts 1 week that is the shop for you. I paid $5,000 for a transmission and it lasted 1 week. Then they said they would need to make payments to me if I wanted a refund. I never saw a penny of that refund. 10 out of 10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!

The pictures are of my oil pan 6 months after a $2100 full transmission rebuild by Jim. When I called I spoke to Jim and he claims he can't find my repair order and won't look at it unless I can come up with the repair order. Even though I called back and provided bank statements of receipts from me paying for the transmission rebuild he still refuses to honor the warranty. Pete's certified transmission will leave you stranded. Jim sounds like a nice guy when he's diagnosing your vehicle and trying to get money out of you but he's a crooked mechanic. Go somewhere else.

I had the transmission go out in my 1982 Chevy g20. Some of the other garages turned their nose up at the thought of working on an older vehicle but Pete's took care of it no problem. The customer service was great.
