Went here a few days ago to exchange some cash and the black lady at the front desk asked me where I got the money from and told me it was “part of protocol” I have been with rivermark for almost 5 years now and have literally never been asked that before and I go to the bank with stacks of cash frequently. I didn’t know in order to receive help I had to disclose what I do for my job or where I’m getting my money—that is absolutely no one’s business unless it’s more than $10,000–which it wasn’t. I told her I was an independent contractor and she still questioned me and acted suspicious and didn’t even use the money counter to count my cash and instead took it to the back. Again—I’ve come to other branches with stacks of cash plenty of times and they’ve always been respectful, never questioned “where did you get this money” or went in the back room with my cash. I was already annoyed with Rivermark for other reasons and considering switching banks but that really did it for me. After 5 years of being loyal to this credit union, I am about to switch banks soon. Absolutely ridiculous.

I've been a Rivermark customer since 2011 so clearly there's a lot that's good about it. The recent merger; however, has been frustrating mainly because instead of being able to see the cash back that you've accrued it's completely hidden. You also have a to fill out a form to receive it rather than make a few clicks. That lack of transparency lowers my trust in Rivermark. I want to know when that standard feature will return.

10 out of 10! Every successful business has excellent employees that provide extraordinary customer service. Eberechi Onyeze is such a top-notch, very wonderful person, professional, helpful, and kind. He helped me with my papers. It is astonishing to meet good people. My overall experience was fantastic. Even the ladies were so kind people, they loved their job and they are happy to help the customers 😊.

I have received 10 out of 10 quality of service on every level. The app never fails. The employees are beyond stellar and thorough. I lost my card 2 consecutive days in a row. I felt immensely stupid. They were so kind and understanding. Can't thank them enough for such an intangible quality. I just went in to get some bonds notarized. The employee was such a warm and gentle human. It was so simple and straightforward. The front desk person printed the form I needed in literally 3 seconds. Before I could even find it on my phone to email it to them, she was walking over to hand it to her fellow employee to hand to me. Just 10 out of 10 with every experience. period. Thank you for hiring such exceptional employees. 💖

I want to thank Eberechi Onyenze for his outstanding banking skill level in helping me to correct a CD issue, unfortunately caused by someone else. Eberechi is efficient, effective and demonstrates a very high skill level in banking and excellent customer service skills. While talking with him, it is quite apparent He wants to make sure customers banking needs are met, and he displays it very professionally. His professionalism is stellar.

Tara Villalta, a branch manager at the location, went well above and beyond expectations to assist me with a task that needed to be accomplished by the April 15th tax deadline...I entered the Fremont location without an appointment, knowing it was likely one of their busiest days of the year, and understanding that it might not happen, since I had waited until the last possible minute to request it.My first point of contact was the teller (regrettably I did not catch her name) but she patiently tried to assist and brainstorm possible solutions, inquiring her manager to come take a look. Tara V. took in the scenario, and offered me several options, one of which involved traveling to a far location, the other waiting there an unpredictable amount of time, and the final was allowing her to try to accomplish the task, even though she hadn’t done so before. It being midday, I asked if I was cutting into her lunch break, (I most definitely was) and she dismissed it as if it were of no concern, then proceeded to spend upwards of 45 minutes with me, assisting me in my objective, with good natured humor, even apologizing for it taking a bit of time, when she was the one clearly doing me the favor. I left very appreciative of her efforts and willingness to learn something new rather than dismiss it as undoable, (which she easily could have). I intend on paying it forward - the patience, kindness, going above and beyond- next opportunity I have. Thank-you again to Tara and the other staff members- everyone on site was responsive and helpful that day, and I really appreciate and recommend Advantis to anyone contemplating doing business with them.

We have been members of Advantis Credit Union since they opened at the NE Fremont Street Branch in 2011. Recently, we had the great pleasure of working with Bryce Howell, a bright and friendly individual. We commend Bryce for his thorough and competent approach to customer service. Give that man a raise!!!

I was dealing with a small nightmare after receiving some letters requiring additional documentation for my home owner's insurance. So much back and forth and I was unable to make any progress with those that I spoke with (my loan was originally set-up with Advantis, but currently is owned by another company). I couldn't get a clear answer as to the issue, and the company was threatening to purchase very expensive (25k a year) insurance for me even though I had insurance and provided all the documentation. I decided to go in to Advantis. I sat down with Ebby and he was able to resolve everything, taking the time to get documentation from me and work directly with their insurance department and fully resolve the issue. I am so impressed by the customer service and empathy that Ebby showed, and he accomplished what hours of speaking with other agents through the other loan company could not. It is experiences like this that continue to make me trust and do all my banking business with Advantis. Thank you!
