Alcove Hollywood is a great option for remote workers like me who need a quiet space to focus. The location is fantastic, with easy access to public transportation. The studio was compact but had everything I needed. The only downside was the size, as it felt a bit cramped at times. Overall, a solid choice for those looking for a convenient and affordable living situation. 4/5 stars.

The management company cannot be relied on, and borderlines on being crooks.
They cash checks late and then tried to charge late fees on the pretend rent was paid late. They try everything they can out of fixing elevators, they don’t respond to emails and calls. Do not trust them

I really like the property and location. However, getting help can be almost impossible. I reached my renewal time. The office sent my renewal paperwork in the mail. I stopped by the office three days later selecting the year long lease renewal. The office staff member was upset that I interrupted her lunch. I offered to comeback later and drop off the paperwork and she claimed that I didn't need to return in. I explained that lease gave me two options. To renew for a year or go month to month at a much higher rate. I chose to renew for the year. She took the paperwork. I stopped by the office a few weeks before the new lease was to go into effect. There was a new office worker. I asked to confirm that the new lease was good to go and the leasing officer told me they did not have any paperwork on file for me, not was my lease renewed. I explained the situation and she said she would check into and call me with an update. That was over a week ago. I tried sending the office an email, calling, and stopping by the office (there wasn't anybody in the leasing office all of last week). The first person I spoke with was very unprofessional (she spent at least 15 minutes explaining how overworked she was and how she wasn't appreciated even though she was managing multiple properties). The second person I spoke to was very friendly and professional, but there hasn't been an update and I don't know if I have a place to live come July.

Echoing every sentiment posted in Kaitlyn’s review; Don’t live here unless you want to deal with a leasing office who ignores move out requests, and then will continue to charge you for rent after you’ve moved 3,000 miles awayThe building itself is also filthy and is right next to a bottle drop, enjoy the noise if you choose to live here. I also hope you don’t like your car either, resident’s vehicles being stolen seems to be a recurring theme, and happened to me in the short time I lived here.Edit- over a week later and no response to email. This place is something else. See y’all in court.

It is mind boggling to me that you can request move out paperwork, have it confirmed verbally by the leasing office on the telephone during a discussion witnessed by another party, and then have absolutely nothing happen. I would definitely think that by putting the keys in the leasing office drop box, emptying the apartment, and moving out - it would count as proper and very clear notice of intent to vacate… but now I’m starting to wonder if maybe the level of incompetence is so high they don’t even check the mail.

I’m posting this on behalf of my friend who lived here 9-10 months. I was here all of the time and firsthand witnessed the madness below:I find it fascinating that you can tell office mgmt when you’re moving out, after calling 7x as they never answer their phone, and they confirm and tell you that you will be hand delivered paperwork to sign confirming that move-out date, but you will never receive that paperwork, you will never get a phone call or email response when you keep following up about not receiving said paperwork, and they continue charging you THROUGH JUNE when you left your KEYS IN THE DROPBOX IN MARCH - on the day you agreed with mgmt to move out. Some seriously gross incompetence here.I guess they prefer communicating with lawyers instead. Ask and you shall receive.

Ok, Initially, wrote a review out of anger and spite, because I wasn’t getting sleep. The building is great, so far the people, even though I can hear muffled conversations, are still great. People don’t mess with your packages, they hold the door open for you if you have your keys out, and the PM is very nice. She’s A little unorganized, but nice, and she cares!I’m just going to recommend three things that have helped me get some good sleep each night after my first week of living here. And if you haven’t lived in an apartment for a while, And are used to quiet surroundings, try his now for sleep hygiene. No caffeine after 2:00pm, buy a blue tooth headset for your tv/devices, the ones that wrap around your ears, so you can watch TV, set a sleep timer and fall asleep with them on your head. I’ve used ear buds but they fall out when I sleep. So I bought noise cancelling headphones by Bose. There are cheaper similar quality products out there. Lastly get a small air purifier, and put it next to your window, if you take your headphones off to sleep, you won’t hear anything but the white noise.I bought an inexpensive highly rated 4.5 stars, air purifier for 53$ on sale at the biggest online retailer Amazon. It’s so helpful! So just get the basics blue tooth headphones for your media devices, less caffeine, buy an air purifier, keep it next to your bed, You’ll be much happier and get a better night sleep.
