I was recently referred to Alside by another contractor for vinyl siding J channels, the edging trim pieces of vinyl siding for around windows. At the store, Makenna was very helpful in showing what I needed and I discovered that Alside also makes vinyl windows, and so I ordered a custom sized window too. It arrived and was high quality and lightweight. Upon wall demo, I discovered that I needed 1.5” J channels instead of 3/4” due to the thickness of the existing siding. Austin at the store was able to do a quick and easy exchange. I highly recommend Alside for your vinyl siding and vinyl window needs.

After 13 weeks of waiting for a warranty determination, being declined because I'm the second owner, which was disclosed when filing the warranty claim, and then trying to actually purchase the window and being told that I can't be helped, a sticker that was placed in a window 20 years prior is no longer there, therefore no one can do anything about my replacement. Also since I'm not a contractor and didn't have contact with the previous homeowners, there's really just nothing they can do. Ugh, get windows anywhere else if you can!

Only place in all of the Portland Metro, I could find vinyl J-channel where I was able to buy a single stick (no MOQ)
Staff was also very helpful.
