if you live on the garbage side you will be woken up in the middle of the night by LOUD BOOMS (FREQUENTLY) from the garbage moving around at 4 am also paper thin walls, and shitty air ventilation, got my stuff stolen from the community room. the only cool thing is the phone key fob they have, they have HIDDEN FEES that will ad up quickly. still would live here tho the 5th floor and mountain view is really dope. employees will just divert you to text message 95% of the time

My daughter gave 30 day notice to move out in August. I am a cosigner and went into the portal towards the end of her move out month to confirm the date and add my bank account info for security deposit refund. I also deactivated auto pay so we would not have any issues being charged rent moving forward.
On October 1st I was notified of a rent charge for almost the full month. My credit card was used to do an autopay, even though I had deactivated autopay, someone went in and reversed it. I am now struggling to reach anyone on the phone. The phone number they give you does not work. You have to dig to find a different number to leave a message but I have not heard back.
Might be time to get a lawyer involved. This is really shady.
She does need a few extra days to get all her stuff out but this is a different charge than adding a few days on. The fact that it's difficult to talk to someone and get it resolved is what is very concerning.

Lived here for a year and it was the worst living experience Iāve had. I only moved in because they had move-in deals and I was in a pinch. Payed $1250 for a cheaply made 250 sq ft studio with no kitchen. The whole building always smells bad, the hallway carpets and the stairs are always filthy, every weekend thereās a really annoying ringing in the lobby (some security system alarm or something?) but since itās the weekend, thereās no management around to turn it off. The shared kitchens seem like a cool idea until youāve prepped your whole meal only to find someone already using it, and thereās a grill on the patio but it doesnāt work. The laundry rooms were a nightmare - theyāre always a mess and the machines make your clothes smell bad, and you canāt use cash/change or a card for the machines, you have to use an app - but your phone doesnāt get service in there, so it can take a while to get your laundry started. If you live on the second floor, you have to push the doors to the patio shut or they pop open and the whole floor gets freezing cold, and the doors in the units arenāt sealed at the bottom so your apartment gets really cold too. When I moved out I was told to leave the apartment in broom-swept condition and that the cleaning fee should only be about $100 out of my deposit - so I swept, wiped a few things down and called it good and they charged me $300 - so beware, ābroom-sweptā is actually landlord for ādeep clean.ā The location is cool, the chicken place downstairs is really good. Also there are a few 5 star reviews from 5-6 months before this from when they put up signs saying theyāll give Amazon gift cards to whoever gives them a 5 star review!

got some fees waived but one noise fee from stereo too loud around noon. dead trees on the atrium level from neglect. cleaning crew will take your coffee machine if itās tuesday. great for cyclists.

If I could give this building zero stars I would. Take this as a warning , aside from the great location of this apartment I would run the other way. Paying almost $1400 for a studio (glorified dorm room with no kitchen) thatās less than 300 sq foot. I had to move from unit to unit because my window didnāt shut, the process of switching units took months and I ended up paying more for my new Unit which I thought was fine at the time because I was sick of having a freezing apartment with sky high electricity bill because of a broken window. These units are just cheaply made, within a month of being in my new unit the closet door came off the tracks and I am scared to call maintenance because the last time I had to file a complaint the maintenance man let himself into my locked apartment (no appointment, no notice) while I was getting into the shower. So keep in mind if u file a maintenance request and you have a dog or another reason why you wouldnāt want a random person in your home with no warning- the space on the form with consent to enter while youāre not home will be ignored!!! I even wrote a little note about how my dog doesnāt like uninvited guests and that it was necessary for me to be home. The laundry rooms smell like mildew and half the time thereās literal garbage and dirt/dog hair thrown around and stuck to the walls and other surfaces. The Garbage shoot barely works and then when u go to take it into the trash room itās piled almost floor to ceiling with garbage and gross spills all over the ground. The community style kitchen is as bad as it sounds, people are gross and donāt clean after themselves. Counters are filled with other peoples belongings. Keep in mind this is a ācommunity spaceā so property management as right to move or dispose of your items and they will! Hallway carpets, elevators and community outdoor spaces are soiled with dog waste .Thereās also a non existent leasing office thatās always closed and we received 1 day notice before it was taken over by new property management who I have yet to see. Overall this space is way overpriced, cheaply built, and thereās always packages being stolen. Do not fall for the move in specials like I did !!! This is a trap and you will have a miserable experience - I would highly recommend looking elsewhere you could find something in a similar price range but much bigger!

I LOVE living here! This has been a real community for my dog Kenni & I, and I'm very appreciative. We have met GREAT neighbors & Mia has been the BEST addition to Ascend. She has been working so SUCCESSFULLY to right past mistakes of the previous management company, and has been a rock star in my opinion! Ascend offers safe living, wonderful neighbors, a beautiful community lifestyle & an amazing neighborhood to call our own. I wouldn't choose to live anywhere else. Thank you Ascend & Mia for caring about your tenants & providing such a wonderful living space for us!

Iāve been at ascend for over a year. Recently my lease went up just when the new management came in. I have to say that our new manager, Mia is really working hard to improve this building. I jump to her office the same day she started and told her I wanted to switch apartment and in a matter of a few days she had the ball rolling and got me into my new space. Since sheās been here there has been some very noticeable changes that I really appreciate. Very efficient units in a great location.
