Dear Astra Motors Management,
I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the service provided by your establishment concerning a recent issue with my vehicle. I brought my Jeep Wrangler to your shop and requested a specific service, for which I was quoted $500. Your technician assured me that they were fully capable of handling the required work and guaranteed that the issue would be resolved.
However, after making three trips to check on the progress of the repair, I was unexpectedly informed by the shop owner that the cost of the service had increased to $2,000—despite the original quote of $500. This sudden and significant price increase was both surprising and frustrating. When I requested to take my car back, I was told that I would have to forfeit the initial $500 and pay for work that had never been completed.
To make matters worse, after consulting with another technician outside of your shop, it was determined that your team had no expertise in the field of the required service and were incapable of completing the job. As a result, I have incurred an additional $200 in towing fees while transporting the vehicle back and forth.
I find this situation unacceptable and unethical. Your failure to deliver the promised service, paired with your refusal to refund the $500, has left me not only out of pocket but deeply frustrated. I am formally requesting a full refund of the $500 I paid for a service that was never performed, as well as compensation for the towing expenses I incurred due to your shop’s failure to properly diagnose and repair the vehicle.
Should this matter not be resolved promptly, I will have no choice but to escalate this complaint by seeking assistance from consumer protection agencies and considering legal action to recover the funds lost.
Please be advised that I am also sharing my experience with others to warn them about the potential risks of utilizing your services. I hope that this situation can be resolved in a fair and timely manner.

They fixed my splash guard on my Nissan Altima. I was quoted $350 but it ended up being $250 because they didn't need to replace the whole thing. They could have easily gotten me for the extra money but we're extremely helpful and respectable. I worked with Daniel mostly but all the guys were great!

I'm usually a little lazy writing reviews but these guys deserve it, the best workshop experience here in Oregon. Vlad, Daniel and his team of mechanics are amazing.
After taking our Ford Escape with a broken transmission to different car shops, and giving us super expensive estimates just to rebuild the part, we almost gave up. My mother in law told me about Daniel and Astra Motors, I took my car there, they not only fix the transmission, they also fixed like 5 different things failing in the car. They took a look at everything in that car, they fix every single detail. The prices very fair compared to the other places. What else I can say, it's hard to find people like them. They got a new lifetime client on our family.
I will recommend this place to every single person who needs a good and honest mechanic.

I am astounded by how quickly our repairs were done. Vlad did an amazing job of explaining everything and I still cannot believe how fast he was able to get the job done and done right. I will never take my sprinter van any place else.

We've had excellent service over the yrs. Vlad is amazing and will go to any lengths to fix your cars. He's fixed many of our cars over the years and has always been good to us. We won't go anywhere else.

If you dont want to deal with the stealerships, Astra Motors is your place to get any job done on any car. They have many of the special tools available, that mostly only dealerships have. Vlad will stick with your car problem, until it gets figured out.Services: Transmission

Vlad is probably the best mechanic I've found in this area so far. I brought over 3 cars to him, and there is no beating around the bush. Straight to the point, fair prices and good explanation. If he can't do it he will tell you, and not waste your time and $. I referred a lot of friends to this shop and will continue to do so.
