Dr Gorman took great care of my cat today and answered all questions and concerns I had. She was very gentle and friendly. I'll be taking my little lady back to this location again!

I visited this Banfield location to get an international health certificate for my dog, as we were preparing for an overseas trip. After calling several clinics in the Portland metro area, I finally decided on this place. Not only did they offer the best price, but they also assured me of their expertise in completing the certificate and obtaining USDA endorsement. From the moment I stepped in, the staff made me feel welcomed and at ease. They were patient, answered all my questions, and guided me through the process. It was a relief to know that my dog was in capable hands. It took one week from our appointment to receive the completed certificate. I couldn't be happier with the service and the professionalism of the entire team, especially the front staff and the person answering the phone. If you find yourself in need of a health certificate for your pet, I wholeheartedly recommend this clinic. And to share a little joy, here's a picture of my dog after we landed in Korea. Thank you, Banfield! ??✈️?

Wow, what a great place. The Manager went above and beyond for my "first visit" check in. They have a program for pet care and its very easy and convenient to use across the USA at any of there other Vets. My Hazel Woo ll gives it four paws up and so do I.

I arrived for a scheduled 11:30 appointment at 11:25 and Louie was promptly weighed and we were signed in. We were immediately shown into an examination room. That part was good. However, not a single person opened the door for 30 minutes. Just as I was about to give up and leave, an associate showed up and went right to the computer terminal without a ""hello" or apology for being late.Admittedly, I was quite angry and the situation got worse when her explanation was "we're busy today."There has never been a time when this Banfield location wasn't "busy" to the point where a scheduled appointment actually took place on time.Further, the staff never seems concerned that scheduled times are important and should be kept. It's called being professional and concerned, something that is apparently not a business practice at Banfield in Mechanicsburg, PA.Banfield is an example of "corporate" veterinary care at its worst. Oddly enough, when I finally was able to see the veterinarian herself, life got better. She's the only professional with whom Louie and I came in contact at Banfield.

I have honestly had a pretty great experience with this location. I see it has low stars--so it's possible that depending on your needs it may not be the right fit. I have brought my cat there for a few years now. He has had 2 dentals, dealt with 1 emergency visit, and a surgery to remove a mass. Everyone was really kind and helpful.

Terrible. First of all, they couldn't seem to figure out that my son had merely moved out and had taken his dog and was under his own account. When I tried to make an appointment, I was told that I "gave my dogs away". I absolutely did not give my dogs away! Why on earth would I make an appointment for them if I did? She was quite insistent. When I finally convinced her that I did, indeed, have two very large dogs that needed nail trims, she agreed to schedule the appointment. I had to come in to get sedatives. OK, fair enough. They're large and don't like nail trims. $130??? for sedatives for a nail trim??? Whatever, I paid. I followed the instructions to the letter. When the appointment time came, the dogs were not very sedated. I went anyway. One VERY nice tech helped me so much. I wish I had gotten her name. She had some lovely pinks and other colors in her hair and let my dogs kiss her face. That's the only good part of this story and why there is one star. When the person that was supposed to do the trimming came in, she barked at me to "pull my dog back". He wasn't jumping, he wasn't even that close. Lady, you are in the WRONG profession. She then snapped at me that I should have had proof of rabies vaccination with me. Well... no one told me that. They had their vaccinations there, so I figured they had the records. Then they told me the vaccinations had expired and they'd need to be revaccinated in order to have their nails trimmed. But they'd need a check-up. And there was no doctor. And they'd have to reschedule and sell me more meds for the next time. So, long story short, I paid $130 and drugged my dogs for nothing! I will not be making another appointment.

I’m glad they’re in the nearby area to where I live… but I would have appreciated not having to wait 30 mins after my start time to see the vet. If they were running behind a courtesy call saying to come in 30 mins later would have allowed me to make better use of my time.

The wellness plans Banfield pushes are a way of bringing in secure, continual business because the clients are obligated and locked into paying for a year. Sadly, that also means the clients (our beloved pets we consider children) become just a number to the corporations bottom line. I have taken my pets to this Banfield location for a number of years. In the beginning I was highly satisfied, especially with Dr. Gorman and Lori at the front desk, (both are phenomenal and the exception to this review). I would say in the last 2 years I have noticed the customer service, kindness and level of care has become very corporate feeling. My latest experience is one of many where I was expected to drop my dog off for hours or the whole day just so they could fit in as many clients in a day as possible without considering the stress it bring to my pets. It is stressful for my pets to go to the vet, but then to crate them all day until the Dr. has time to spend 15 min for an exam is torment to my animals. Another way in which this establishment makes me feel like my pets are another number on a conveyor belt is the needless way they make clients call to say we have arrived then have us wait in the parking lot, the usual wait time is 10 min or more and I have waited upwards of 20 minutes just to be let into the building. It appears to me as though they have purposely overextended themselves with the amount of animals they take in each day in order to increase the amount of profits all at the expense of the animal as though it doesn't affect them. It seems the staff has changed over quite a bit the last couple of years and the new staff is not welcoming, friendly or very kind to my animals. It feels as though they push for more clientele each day but lack the resources or staff to make time for my animals. One of the latest visits was for a series of vaccinations, they forgot one and my husband who picked up the animal was unaware they had forgotten, when I called to enquire why it wasn't given they simply stated, "oh I guess we overlooked that one". That meant I had to make another apt, take time out of my day and cause more stress to my dog for a vaccine they were too busy to double check whether or not it was given. This is one of string of stories that led make the choice of finding another Vet that cares more the animal than their bottom line.

I have to shout out this clinic for getting our little guy in when he needed it most. We had a terrible experience and no help from emergency care clinic on Saturday and called this Banfield when they opened on Sunday to see if they could help us with an emergency- our dachshund had a foxtail lodged in his ear. The staff - from front desk, to vet techs or the veterinarian (Dr. Fetter), really came through for us and our guy when he needed it most. They performed the surgery he needed and now he is on the road to recovery feeling much better. I cannot say how thankful I am for them seeing us and taking care of him when he needed it most. Thank you!

My cat has a UTI, something very much fixable with antibiotics. I have a wellness plan with this company for my cat, but this is now the second time my cat has had a UTI and the clinic can't just give me antibiotics and also can't see my cat for over a week. My cat is in pain and peeing everywhere! Tell me, why am I paying a monthy fee for this clinics services if they can't give my cat antibiotics? My cat was seen for this very thing only a couple months ago. They shouldn't have to see her in person again so soon just to give antibiotics! Do not buy wellness plans from this company because they are worthless.

If you love your pets don't take them here!!! I had to put my best friend down today because the staff didn't listen to me. Kept telling me my dog was just "overweight" requested an xray at least 3 times. Gaslit me into thinking I was overreacting because she was 11y/o with bad knees so not a lot of exercise. She collapsed this morning due to a very large abdominal tumor. Dove Lewis found it in 4 minutes. This office and the one on NE 122nd and Glisan don't have the time or just don't really care. They need to stop overbooking so they can actually care for our furry family members. Changing our other dog's very immediately. Sleep Peacefully, Bertha

Horrible costumer service at 1001 West Bay Dr in Largo Fl.Not professional at all. They are more concern of their lunch break than the costumer.Had a appointment for my pet for one shot of a vaccine, however the vet said it would take 4 hours to get it done because everyone was taking lunch at 11:30 am.What is the point of making a appointment than?????
