Bad customer service. They will not close my CD and transfer to my funding account. They say they don't have my mailing address on file, so they can send to my physical address, then all the sudden they say they cannot close my account. Mature CD of $75K they want to keep my money hostage. I will never bank with them again, they have to mail a check after closing my CD and it will take away 10-20 days of interest while in the mail and getting it deposited to my high yield 5.25% interest bearing account. If you don't want to lose money, then don't bank with them.

Horrible Customer Service. Irresponsible. They raised the rates, after I paid them, and gave me a fine for not paying. I'm out of there before the bank fails.

Lacei Nelson went above and beyond for me, to help me with my problem I was having with my funds due to the other branch and I want to thank her so much! She is very professional and upfront and I really appreciated her helping me.

I can not say much for BMO itself yet, as the switch had only just been made, but the people I worked with at all the branches I've been to have always been good to me with timely service.As long as BMO does not make any major changes to Bank of the West's policies, services or the staff at the branches I know, it should stay good. I will have to wait and see.

BMO bank recently acquired Bnak of the West. What a disaster. I have spent 3 weeks and hour after hour trying to get BMO to give me reference numbers associated with my ACH merchant deposits. I have been to the branch 2 times now for hours to get help. I have been hung up on it myriad times from the main BMO business. I was given finally a case number and phone number to call and the phone number is for AT&T and the case number is only for feed back not to fix the problem. I have been told that the ACH system doesnt work well. Today I was finally told that they cannot fix it or help me at all. Every time you call the company you get a choice of 1 for personal or 2 for business. Then after pressing 2 - you get personal and they want all your info and then they say oh this is a business account, I have to transfer you. A poorly run business. Their statements look unprofessional and they charge a bigger fee than bank of the west. DO not use BMO.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! RUDE MANAGER AND STAFF! TOOK THIS BANK 31 MINUTES TO CASH A CHECK. NOT 31 MINUTES WITH WAITING IN LINE, BUT 31 MINUTES OF STANDING AT THE TELLER!!!I deal with banks every single day and this bank is BY FAR the worst I've dealt with! All of the negative reviews are 100% accurate! DO NOT USE THIS BANK!

STAY AWAY from Bank of the West. What a complete joke! In 2022, this bank REFUSED to give me the official payoff quote for my auto loan with them. First on the phone the rep said one to two days. Nothing happened so I went into a branch in Portland, OR and I was told to wait THREE DAYS (?!?) for "another department" to fax it to the branch. I requested the most recent statement to which I was told "we can't give it to you" (?!?). NO ONE in this branch in Portland, OR wore a name tag. This was the quote from their new-to-the-job teller, "nothing I can do about it." He said his name was Curtis but who knows if he was telling the truth because again, no name tag on ANY STAFF. Once I got so frustrated with this unprofessionalism, I decided to pay off the loan. I asked the branch manager to provide me with an official statement of title release. She said that would take 10 days and there would be no official statement. I asked if they even had a policy and this branch manager/vice president "Josephine" replied no, they had no policy. I pressed her if this bank was doing business on the words-of-mouth basis which this manager confirmed "Yes, it will be only words-of-mouth." WOW! Now ask yourself if you will trust this bank with your financials simply with their words-of-mouth! Holy guacamole!

Worst experience ever.Stay away from this bank. It took me weeks to close my accounts, while they still kept charging you new monthly fees and overdraft fees. It was ridiculous.
