If you have made it here and don't fold your dollar bill into origami and leave it as a tip, then you are unfortunately only mid at best. The spro blend is unique and they do have good pastries and light food offerings. I opt to sit outside on a nice day and look at people walking by asking myself, why haven't you gotten your morning coffee yet?

Very good coffee and amazing atmosphere- I usually just pick up my coffee and go, but a great place to hang out if you wish. Friendly service too!

The place is as simple as the name. The make batista was full of attitude when I ordered. I asked about the milk options, and I didn't hear him over the butt rock, and he was looking down, not trying to be hospitable. I got my bitter coffee like most of these simple bitter places and needed flavor to choke it down, and he or they got an attitude like a little entry-level job teen would. Does he not want to work? This isn't the 1st place like this the other is off Alberta art dist and idk why they are so snobby like it's a bother to work? Bad taste in my mouth with my 1st impression. Just don't ask for anything but your order is my suggestion. They treat you like you're difficult if they provide customer service outside of taking your straight order. Drink some water.

We drove 20 minutes to get here because we do not watch the superbowl and hoped to enjoy a coffee at a time that might actually be quiet. Sign on the door said closed for super bowl! Seriously!? Closed for a football game? Didn't say anything on social media or Google about these hours. Supposed to close at 6:00 p.m. & we were there at 4:00. We weren't the only ones at the door either. The only other time we came here we had to leave because the music was too loud but we were ready to give it another go.

Nice coffee shop. Great design. Service could be nicer but it's typical Portland hipster mentality not to smile. Coffee is great

The coffee? It's middle-of-the-road. The aesthetic? Totally chic. The vibe? Well, let's just say, it's got a touch of snobbery in the

Barista serves world class coffee, the NW 23rd shop is the best, staff is great, atmosphere, super. However, recently you changed bakeries. For me not the best decision, the new pastries offer little variety, plus they are enormous, heavy on the bread and I think the presentation looks drab. Bring back those excellent bran muffins, smaller pastries, your current offerings all look and taste alike. Get the pastries back up to scale with your amazing coffee. Still the best place to hang out in the NW.
