Is this the best jewelry store in all of Portland? Yes. Yes it is. First of all, they have an incredible selection of both jewelry made by the owner as well as imported jewelry from other amazing artists. They also have a ton of other cool stuff like gorgeous perfumes, candles, trinkets, art, etc. I always find something I love when I go and find it my number one place to shop if I'm looking to get a unique gift for someone. Second, the service is so beyond incredible. The staff remembered so much about me and my husband even though it had been months in between visits. They are all so friendly and helpful. I even had an earring break and they had a replacement created and shipped at no cost. I really have nothing but great things to say. They opened a fine jewelry store behind their main location and I do plan on getting some replacement wedding rings for our anniversary from them because they are gorgeous and, I think, reasonably priced. I am absolutely over the moon at the experience I had working with Betsy & Iya!! Not only did we work to do a custom wedding + engagement ring stack, but I’ve also purchased necklaces, earrings, and a dress at their store.After having a not-so-positive experience at another jeweler, Betsy and Barrie made us feel so heard, and created a design that ultimately blew us out of the water.They were very communicative and I would 12/10 recommend them to anyone who is looking to design a custom engagement/wedding ring.

Betsy and her team used jewelry I own to design a custom ring that I love! My experience from the first team member who showed me the custom jewelry case in the store to my meeting with Betsy to discuss design, and with the team who communicated with me during production and pick-up was top notch and highly professional. Betsy and Iya's has a polished and notable business model, and their jewelry is contemporary and timeless. Check out their website and Portland store.

I went here hoping to get information on resizing a ring or maybe doing a new custom band for my engagement ring. I decided to drive after I tried calling and no one answered. I sought this business out because of their ethical sourcing. I was willing to pay quite a bit. Right away when I asked about ring resizing and showed them my ring I felt as though I was judged and snubbed. They recommended I leave and go to another business. I asked if they could help size me they did and then commented on how thin my band was. I asked about a different bands and they said “I don’t really understand what you mean but why don’t you look at some of our other rings” and directed me towards costume jewelry while they helped two other customers find earrings for a bridal party. I left here feeling like I wasn’t good enough for their time. Not a great experience:(

I've been looking for stackable rings, and Betsy & Iya sell wonderful, simplistic, yet elegant faceted (and smooth) gold and silver rings. I was able to get 5 rings (a mix of smooth and faceted gold ones) for about $130 (although I didn't go for the solid gold options... not within my budget lol). So far, they haven't tarnished and haven't effected my fingers in any way/made my skin green. The service was lovely, even though I was helped by someone who was new to the store, and they had the rings on a stand that allowed me to try on all the different sizes to make sure they fit each finger correctly. Additionally, it's good to note that Betsy & Iya is a company focused on the fair trade of jewelry (meaning that their products are all made and sourced ethically). If you're looking for stackable rings, this is the place to go. It's so much better than trying to find stackable rings online that may or may not be the right size, will likely tarnish, and are most likely not sourced ethically.

Betsy & Iya's shop in NW Portland is a terrific location for beautiful moderno jewlery and clothing.They have a shop on site that crafts bespoke jewlery pieces. They just handed me a pendant with chain and a brooch that Betsy, Barrie, and the shop team brought to fruition from a sketch of mine with absolutely stunning results. Working with them was a joy.This shop is an ornament of my corner of PDX, and the staff that operates there is the best - !

I've been wearing Betsy & Iya jewelry for almost a decade, on a daily basis. When they started offering custom work, I knew that I wanted them to make a ring for me with my grandmother's tourmaline. I ended up having two rings designed and fabricated, and I am so pleased with them! The design process was really collaborative, and they made sure the rings would be beautiful, but also durable, so now I wear one of these rings everyday. I live in California, but whenever I'm passing through Portland, I make a point to stop by the store to say hello and check out what new lovely items they have in their great space.

This place is WONDERFUL. Gorgeous, thoughtfully designed jewelry that's comfortable to wear and always garners compliments. The staff is lovely, warm, informed and helpful. B&I items are my favorite for myself, and they're my favorite to give as gifts. Especially stoked on the new extended ring sizing!

The Betsy & Iya team are absolute magic! From the moment we stepped into the store, their team was friendly, fun, and open. We worked to design a wedding ring based off of one of their existing designs. Their team listened and supported us, all with expertise and thoughtfulness. It was truly a great experience and we look forward to visiting their space every time we are in Portland!

I love this place! Beautiful, high quality products, lovely (and not too frequent) newsletters, and kind employees. I know the owner makes it a point to treat their employees well and offers them great benefits so overall just one of the best businesses in Portland.
