My experience here was amazing while selling collectibles. The staff was knowledgeable and professional. Their toy collection took me way back. Very cool place.

I am in from out of state, collecting and treasure hunting. Looks like a cool store. Unfortunately turned away. Appointment only today. It is ridiculous to ask a customer/collector to buy items on the shops time and not the customers time. Sucks for them, I had money to spend and excitement in my eyes. Thx Billy for killing that experience for me !!Booooo ?

A true blast from the childhood past. Loads of toys from days gone by. Friendly helpful staff. Small space but lots of nostalgia packed inside.

Bounty of toys, particularly 80s & 90s. Great for collecting or nostalgia.

I have been buying and shopping here for years. After last weekend, I will never go into that shop again. I called and was told to bring in a collection of 80’s toys. Once I brought them in, Billy acted disgusted and rude. I was told I could not stand next to my own property as he rummaged through it. Billy offered me an exceptionally low offer for my items. I left and took them to a toy shop across town who offered me three times as much and was happy to buy my collectables. Prices are 20% higher than other toy shops in Portland. I hate to say it, but do not support this local business. They do not deserve it. Check out another local shop instead and do not bring in toys to sell unless you want to be lied to and ripped off by an unprofessional j****

Rude, uninviting, and overpriced. After looking through the store and ending up in the comic bin. The prices on books (in rough shape) were priced 50% higher than near mint copies of the same book. I politely asked if prices were firm or if they’d consider bundling things and working with me on cost if I bought a lot.I was prepared to spend around $400-$500 if it made sense. Received firm rejection, one book after another with a scoff & a ‘that’s too bad’ attitude. One specific book is priced $700 over current market value. I showed them the recent sale. Rejected price correction & slammed me for it.Ultimately disappointed and won’t be returning. It was truly unfortunate to see such a cool shop & cool idea not be willing to work with collectors asking for reasonable prices that reflect the current market.

Drove up from Lebanon. Worth the drive. I traded some vintage Star Wars stuff for store credit. EXCELLENT selection of vintage toys/collectibles. Will definitely be coming back on a regular basis to see what they have.

This shop is the cutest hole-in-the-wall vintage shop ever. The guys inside were nice and helped with everything we were looking for. They must ship a lot of toys, too, because the UPS person was there while we were there, picking up about 25 packages! Great prices and cool stuff!

Last time I went in here, these guys acted super annoyed and didn't even say hi. I looked around for a minute, very slim pickins. nothing had price tags. I saw a black hole twiki figure and asked how much. Billy Galaxy goes "twiki? hmm 90 bucks" and then I left. you can find him all over ebay for half that price. good luck to this establishment, sounds like they have some diehard fans due to their media presence, but this place is not friendly and their selection is scant and overpriced. i don't recommend any collector shop here unless the owner has already deemed them worthy of respect.

Very high priced and quality is lacking. I would not consider this place unless u are extremely desperate to obtain one specific toy.

I have been going to BG for 20 years and it is my favorite vintage toy store in Portland. Selection is fantastic prices have been fair for knowing you are getting quality pieces. Have bought cels, figures, kaiju paraphernalia and posters. If you come in without a sense of entitlement and show an enthusiasm for toys you will be treated nicely.
