We board our birds here from time to time and they are always so good with them. We have a very feisty rescue macaw who generally hates everyone but she is always super excited and outgoing when she's at bird hut! The team always takes great care of our babies and we are so appreciative ❤️

This bird haven is wonderful. It’s definitely a « more than meets the eye » kind of place from the outside and the staff are friendly and so helpful. I enjoyed everyone I met and after waiting a years time to get another bird I felt like this was the right place on earth to do it. I had been wanting to go in for over 10 years but had 3 birds already and so I never did. If you’re a bird person don’t wait like I did. There is also food and toys for your birds and birds to enjoy and look at and connect with that you can’t take home because they are already in their forever home. This place is fun and the birds are really well taken care of. Thank you. We are so happy with our new family member.

I have to say. That this place is a place of pure heart!! I can’t say enough about this special place full of love , understanding and knowledge!!! They have been my back bone with my parrots! And for me! Thank you never says enough!!!

Legendary, and well kept sanctuary. The owners were nice and knowledgeable. The new budgie I purchased today fit right in with my others. Thank you, I will be back for more.

Don’t be fooled by the term “second-chance” mature birds. This is not and does not contain a rescue! They sell consignment birds. It’s grossly unethical and it’s unfortunate there isn’t a law against it.

I take my conure for nail trims they are very fast and good about it! They have a good selection of treats and toys. They also have a pretty good selection for birds!

Love this place. They let me bring my greencheek in to check for compatibility in finding my pineapple a friend. He's been plucking after his buddy died. Now he's happy as can be.

I love this place. My wife has gotten a couple of birds from there before we were together. Her last bird was a beautiful little cockatiel named Martini. She was the most beautiful bird I've ever known. I wasn't a bird fan before Martini. I fell in love with her. For 6 years she was our daughter together. Sadly our baby passed last month at 9 years old. We will forever love and miss her. We came back to bird hut to kind of heal our wounds and the staff was so nice to us. The let some of the birds out to fly around and some of them landed on us and let us play with them. It was beautiful. It helped us to heal. We are now on a wait list to adopt a new forever friend into our lives. Thank you Bird Hut.

I have come here since moving back to Portland in 2019. I adore the funky nature of the business, the personality of it all, the knowledge and friendliness of the staff. They have such a great, healthy selection of birds, and I've purchased 4 owl finches from them in the past 5 years. I wouldn't go anywhere else, and now I learn that they offer nail and beak trimming as well. Hooray Bird Hut!
