Epic store. Always a fantastic experience with aisles full of products for every possible art style and task. There were aisles for drawing, sketching, ink, stationery, papers, framing, sculpting, coloured pencils, books, accessories, a nicely stocked gift corner and so much more.
Never underestimate what they may have, and when in doubt check the website and then give the store a call to ask if the items are in the store. With a webstore or that size it's not possible to have it all, but it's pretty close to it!

Went here looking for ink for a new dip pen I got. Everyone was super nice and helpful for finding what I needed. Items were reasonably priced and I ended up spending around $12 for the ink and ink cleaner.

It's such a big store! I dont think I saw everything ? A little pricey for some things, but when I went, they were having a sale for back to school. Definitely recommend!

BEWARE: I experienced racial profiling at this place multiple times! I am a 30+ year old male, brown, but clean cut and professional looking person. I have shopped at this location multiple times in the past 3 and a half years since I moved to Portland from Los Angeles. Every time I have shopped here, workers will follow up and down the aisle I’m in, check up on me from behind the counter, pretend like they’re stocking next to me, or straight up asked me if I “need help.” When my white male partner went into the store a few minutes before me and shopped separately, no one followed him around or asked if he needed help! I try to shop mostly online because this happened so many times here, but I can’t always wait two weeks for items to arrive. So I went into the store today, and it happened, again. I’ve had enough of being treated like I’m a thief! I’ve never stolen anything from anyone. I’m a semi-professional artist and have a full time job. I said something to ONE of guys who followed me and all he had to say was “ok.” He didn’t even deny or apologize. I’m never shopping here again!

I had a great experience visiting this location. Specifically Lauren in the framing department was amazing! She helped us select the best frames, matting and discussed our options and helped us make the best decisions for our needs. Lauren is an asset and we will be back!

This store is really good for learning about art materials. Renee showed me how wax pastels can work with water and I was able to try them out in the store.

Blick, dear Blick
How do I love thee?
Let me count the ways.
Seriously though - this is my favorite art supply store in the whole USA. The shop online is great too, but nothing beats going in person to one of the stores. I don't even live in town, but every time I come into Portland, I have to come to Blick. The assistant store manager here recognizes me every time I come in and is very friendly and remembers many of the things that I like. In fact, just yesterday, I went in. Within 2 minutes of entering the store, she had already said hello and let me know which of my watercolor papers were on sale. ?
I'm going to be making a reel for us real soon. Because my Blick, dear Blick, just helped me achieve blackout bingo with the Daniel Smith watercolor line. That's 266 out of 266 glorious hues. And the vast majority of them were purchased through Blick. ?
