Alot of great clothes. There was one shirt in particular that I horribly wanted but because it was new, it was just a few dollars too expensive. Found a beautiful pair of pants but sadly didn't fit right. Overall a great place but I wish the new stuff was just a few dollars cheaper.

Prices keep increasing and quality/condition of clothes are declining. Why would I pay near retail prices for used items that are dirty/damaged?

Their store policy for store credit vs cash when selling clothes is ridiculous. They told me the clothing they wanted was worth $700 retail, so I could either have $386 store credit or $186 cash. The difference between store credit and cash needs to be changed. Their workers also seem to have no clue what items are actually in style or what they are actually worth. I had to tell them how much I purchased things for multiple times.

Several years ago, I used to shop at the Hawthorne location fairly regularly. The employees were nice and doted over my Chihuahua, who they welcomed. However, the last couple of times I went there were disappointing. Agree with everyone else here that their items are WAY overpriced. You are paying for the young hipster look I suppose. Also now that I'm older, I feel invisible. Also I miss my cute little dog.

The store clerk either stole my clothes or allowed them to be stolen and offered no help. On 9-16-23 I brought a large bag of expensive garments to sell to this location. I made the mistake of shopping the store while the clerk went through them and they or someone else in the store stole them. They offered no help whatsoever despite it all being on camera. There was a camera pointed directly at the spot where they claimed to have left them, but they told me they didn't think it would catch anything. I said even if it didn't, it would be able to see someone walking away bag of clothes in hand. They said they "didn't think so," but would get back to me after reviewing the camera, which they never did. Judging by their reaction and demeanor, this was not a surprise. Be warned if you take items here: watch them.

Im not into fashion, but it serves the needs of those who are fashion forward. I mainly come here when I need to get rid of shoes. I either get cash or end up donating them.

Awesome store with fantastic finds! The customer service was 5-star! Extra friendly and welcoming. Lost a star for not being dog friendly, even though we saw other folks with their pets.

Really fun and friendly staff. They buy such a diverse selection of goods, it’s always a great place to find unique items and one of the places to help clear space in my closet. It keeps the economy flowing and you get to recycle your clothing. Win win.

I went into this place today and try to sell some of my clothes, socks and hat but the manager refused to buy them just because they don’t meet with their needs of what they want to buy or trade in so I just asked them to donate the clothes instead and just stormed off in a huff so for this I rate this store a 2 for poor overlooking and failure to buy good quality clothes that were in good taste and season and I will never come back to this store again!

Very organized with an eclectic mix of funky clothes and accessories. Loved the colorful dressing rooms too, fitting for pride month. Keep Portland Weird!

You get good credit and there is an okay selection, but employees seem to put their stuff all "on hold" in front of actual items for sale and price their items for themselves to buy very very cheaply. Behind the counter is all of their "employee holds" too. It seems like a lot of the good products are just being withheld, and that feels disappointing. The items should all be in one place and limited holds per day in order to prevent this, as someone who has worked in clothing management before. I appreciate the store otherwise, but it seems a lot of improvement could be made.

This is not a thrift store. Thrift stores sell donated clothing. This is used clothing that is selected by buyers, giving the customer a more curated experience. Also, even if your items are the brand and style you think they will accept they buy seasonally. And they may have too many like items already. There are a lot of factors that go into what they can and cannot accept at that moment. Just because you think you're selling cute stuff doesn't mean it's a good buy for them.I kept reading too many rude, uneducated comments so I had to defend them!! Y'all are welcome to shop wherever you want, and I love Buffalo Exchange.

Walked in here and was met with a smell of sour clothing.. like wet gym socks or clothes sitting in the washing machine for weeks. Mildew and BO. I was sad it smelled so bad. I do not recommend buying anything from here unless you want to smell like that.
