This review is about ten years overdue. I bought my first ever turntable off eBay. A Setton TS-11. Now I don't remember what I paid for it but I bought it knowing it needed a new belt. At the time I lived about a half mile away. It wasn't far but it meant walking up and down a couple of hills. Oh yeah, I didn't own a car at the time. So I walked it over there and asked them to take a look at it for me. I knew next to nothing about turntables. I don't remember why exactly all the back and forth but I believe I carried that turntable between the shop and my home three times altogether. In the end, they got it working beautifully. In addition to fixing my turntable, they sold me an old radio shack mixer and helped me troubleshoot my audio setup at home. Both the turn table and mixer continue to work perfectly to this day. Thanks again. - Cole

I called Burlingame Radio to see if they would try to fix my 80s era Yamaha CA-810 stereo amplifier. After listening to my problem and doing a little research on my model Todd suggested I check to make sure the preamp to main jumpers were in place, and if not, I could jump them with regular RCA cables. Problem solved! The time he took to listen, and his knowledge saved me a trip and some money. Much appreciated.Mike Dorman

Don't know much but what I've heard on here. Although I have a pretty old turntable I'd like to have them look at. It's from the 40's from Montgomery ward or Meier & Frank... something like that.... I'm not exactly sure why I left a 3 star review...I think it was because google wouldn't just let me comment on the business and I was telling someone about your store that had a vintage 60's amp and preamp and he asked me why I hadn't put a review up...I didn't want to discourage him from trying you out just because I'd never had anything worked on there but he seemed to really trust my judgement for whatever reason. So I jumped on there really quick to satisfy him and went middle of the road with my stars there...? matter of fact I learned about your store one day while door dashing and I pulled in real quick to look at google maps and thought huh...I wonder if he could fix that old phonograph? Next thing I knew I was talking you up cuz this guy sounded desperate and that he'd taken them in to be serviced before somewhere and felt like they weren't working exactly right yet...so I suggested you since I'd just seen your store a week or so before that. It was all kinda strange but I can take it down...sorry ☹️

Todd was able to get my 1930s Zenith radio working as good as new. The customer service was excellent and I would definitely use his services again!

Thank goodness for Burlingame Radio and TV!! The owner ,Todd, took the business over after his father sold it briefly to another person some time ago. He has been lovingly restoring vintage radios and phono players back to form ever since. He CARES about these pieces of history and the people that bring these historical pieces to him. Portland is better because of his expertise and his kindness

Just an amazing little shop. The moment you walk in, you're transported to another (indeterminate) time. Wall-to-wall with old TVs and radios... the tile floor, the wood paneling, the whole place is beautiful. And I'm sure the repair service is good too!

Todd knows his stuff! Super nice guy, fair pricing, and quality work. Show room is like walking in to a time capsule of tvs, turntables, and radios.

Pleasure to do businesses with this shop and would not hesitate to do so again in the future. He fixed up my '61 RCA console components like new.
