I'm Mexican and I approve this place! Not only the food is amazing, Leticia and Ricardo make you feel at home here. They are super friendly and nice with everyone who comes in. Amazing hosts! The food is great. You MUST try the blue corn quesadillas. My favorite spot for vegan and traditional Mexican food, they have many options, great prices and not long wait. Next time your looking for Mexican food ask your self " Por qué no mejor vamos a plaza Coyoacán?" Pun intendedVegetarian options: Veggies, Tempeh, Vegan Chorizo, Mushrooms and Beans

Crazy overpriced. 41 bucks for 2 tacos, guacamole and chips and a house margarita. Won't be back ever again. 19 bucks for two small tacos is whack af!

It’s like visiting your tia’s house. At 2:00 pm on a Monday, a group of co-workers who love a good conversation sat silently at a table at Plaza Coyoacan, previously known as Cha Cha Cha. With only the sound of our forks simultaneously clanking against our plates again and again until our plates were clean, occasionally looking up at each other, confirming with a slow blink and a head nod.We not only approved; we genuinely enjoyed each and every bite of food making its way to our bellies.Ricardo & Leticia, the owners of Plaza Coyoacan, have mastered hospitality!Their secret? They don’t just want you to feel welcome; they want you to feel like family! The food they serve at Plaza Coyoacan is no different than the food they serve at their own family table at home. Family recipes made with love and served with a smile. Bringing the flavors of Mexico to Portland’s Hawthorn Blvd. For nine months, Ricardo and Leticia have been working hard to complete the restaurant's transition from Cha Cha Cha to Plaza Coyoacan. In fact, Ricardo himself hand-carved the beautiful Plaza Coyoacan sign that hangs above the register. He also drew the artwork on the wall, combining his passions for culinary creations and art.If you have yet to experience Plaza Coyoacan for yourself, I highly recommend you stop by. Tia Leticia and Tio Ricardo are waiting and are excited to have you at their table.

staff are super friendly, i loved my vegan mole poblano enchiladas, and the to-go prickly pear margarita was great too!unfortunately, i ordered the enchiladas off the happy hour menu and was charged full price. i also ordered guacamole and was charged for it, but i didn’t get any guacamole. i also got two sides of rice instead of rice and beans like they said on the menu. i think it was an honest mistake on their part, but it left a sour taste in my mouth about the restaurant.Dietary restrictions: plenty of vegan and dairy free optionsKid-friendliness: very kid friendly
