I love Chen's and the people that work there and saw the temporarily closed info here on Google and discovered they are just renovating. They are one of the last hold outs in Old Town and wish for them a speedy re-opening.

Great Cantonese style BBQ! Honey BBQ pork(蜜汁烧腊)is hands down the best I had in a long while - very crispy and flavorful while not too sweet.

I love this place and have for years! This place is so unassuming, but delicious!!! whether it's their wonton soup, barbecue, pork, or bok choy it's all delicious. They aren't crazy expensive and they always have a smile. My only sadness is on Monday when their closed and I'm craving those soft pillows of wonton magic. Did I mention the sweet lady who's always sitting there hand crafting the wontons? Each and everyone is made in house with love

Solid authentic Chinese restaurant. This place is a staple in Portland. The roasted pork is excellent. Also, check out the wide variety of wonton soups.

Never thought I would say this, the portion is too much! lol. It was! We got the duck and dumpling noodle soup, the roast pork and dumpling noodle soup, and the big one ( duck, wonton, char siu, and roast pork noodle soup), this one was a massive size, should feed 2 people. The soup and meat were tasty. Need to remember next time to separate the meat from the soup as they would taste more better than in the broth.

friendly service with a nice amount of indoor seating!food came with oolong tea, which was perfect.general tso chicken was pretty good, more on the sweet side although it was slightly spicy toohouse special pan-fried noodles: decent noodles here; they were properly crispy and crunchy and the brown sauce was tasty. the bbq pork was more flavorful than what you would find at other places! otherwise, fairly standard and deliciousegg flower soup: it was OK.overall, a great place to get some pan-fried noodles and other yummy dishes

I never would have stumbled into this hole in the wall Chinese restaurant if my other plans didn't fall through. Before ordering I looked on line at reviews since I was curious and they were rated pretty well! I ended up ordering ahead the next time I was craving Chinese food and wow they did not disappoint. Solid price point, served quickly and even before the eta they gave us, and good eats. The pork belly with rice, fish and veggies, wonton noodle soup, and beef chow fun are good options to try. Good portion sizes to share and the homemade won tons in the soup were the best!

This place has delicious Chinese food at affordable prices. We got takeout this past weekend to take to a friends house and they loved it! The duck was meaty and fresh, the chicken with ginger sauce was super tasty- even the black bean noodles were tdf! Every dish we got was so good. Will definitely be back the next time we're in Portland!

Good taste. Good eats. Good times. Happy Belly! Ordered way too much because it all looks so good. Come with a big group so you can try lots of things. We had the Super Bowl A, which is easily enough for two if that's all you order. But don't stop there, because the duck with special sauce is killer. The BBQ pork is also a win, have in in one of the soups or on its own. Oh, and the handmade wontons!!! When we were there we saw the owner making them. They are so fresh and have lovely pieces of shrimp inside with the pork. No Costco here. When you're in China town be sure to stop in.

WATCH OUT!!! I paid with a card and was charged more than what the receipt said... the lady printed me out a receipt for $14 wich is what it was supposed to be, but the alert that I got on my phone said my card was charged $16.80 which leads me to believe that she intended to add a tip without asking me and doing it without my knowledge. I was led to believe that I had paid only $14 because that's what the receipt said and it wasn't until I got the alert on my phone that I found out she had charged me more.. and honestly I have no problem leaving a tip but this was a to-go order and she didn't even offer me any tea while I was waiting so the idea that she felt she needed to steal a tip from me is more than enough reason why I will never go back to that mediocre Chinese restaurant ever again! And I hope they're happy because they just lost a customer for life over $2.80 and I will do my best to steer others away from their establishment.

I am so glad we found this place near Saturday Market. The wanton soup with roast duck was crazy delicious and the server was so charming we were crushing big time!
