Bought a great pair of boots from them a couple years ago and unfortunately they weren't available anymore when it was time for a new pair.Problem now is that they have posted two pending charges (9/27 & 9/28) to my debit card of $264 each. I called customer service and they didn't seem to care only saying yeah we know about it and the charges will drop off in a few days.For me it's not a big issue, but most people are struggling right now and having over $500 frozen in their checking account could cause some serious financial strain.The part that angers me the most is that they admitted they knew what was happening and they didn't bother sending an email to customers warning them. Instead they just let me see what I thought was fraud and freak out thinking I'd been compromised again.

I live in Southern California and own 4 pairs of Danner boots currently and still have my military issued Danner boots. Other reviews on here are outliers. These boots take a beating. I've worn them on the ocean, in rain, snow and all around town. Zero defects and never had an issue with shipping or packaging. If you the money and want high quality, Danner is a great choice.

So I moved to Oregon a few years back and started to hear about Danner, so I bought a pair of their low cut shoes online during a recent sale. When the box arrived it looked like it had been mauled by a wookie. Sure enough, the shoes inside were pretty scuffed up. I called customer service and told them of the issue. Her first words were "oh that never happens", uh... okay well it did, I even offered to send her pictures since she didn't seem to believe me. They just mail the things in a shoebox, no outer box... I order shoes regularly and that is not normal, but of course, their rep said that's how they always do it and acted like I was crazy for suggesting their crumpled and destroyed shoebox wasn't decent packaging to mail. They said I could take the box to UPS and they would send me a new pair. I work during the hours UPS is open and asked that since the shipping had obviously been the issue if they would possibly pick them up where they were so poorly delivered. I was told the rep would call me right back. She did not. Two days later I called again, explained my issue, got another I'll call you back and still nothing. So I decided to just buff the scuffs out the best I could and wear my Danner shoes since their customer service was obviously not going to resolve my issue. I've worn them 3 times in two weeks and the leather is separating from the soles in the front now. For the record, I didn't wear these supposed rugged outdoor shoes hiking or out in the wilderness, nope. I went to one dinner and two meetings in conference rooms and these damn things are falling apart. I bought mine for $90... supposedly half price??? And the customer service is horrible, the product is absolute garbage, and I'm probably not even going to donate them to someone as I don't think they have many more uses. This company always talks about how "Oregon" they are... how rugged their shoes are... in my experience people in Oregon are polite and honest, Danner falls WAY short in this respect. And the wilderness in Oregon would be better tackled in Muppet slippers than Danner shoes, they are about as rugged as a dandelion. Maybe the next time you have the chance to fix your screwup you'll take the chance... because I'll be living in Oregon for a long time, and I'll retell this story EVERY time I see someone sporting your products or considering them.

Will never buy another pair again. Spent 350 dollars on a pair of boots and the leather is very low quality. They stared to peel and this is in the first week. They would not warranty them either. I made the mistake of buying another pair of winter boots this time and they sent me the wrong size. I sent them back and it's been almost 2 months and I haven't gotten my new boots I paid for.

I'm a disabled veteran that needs a well built boot, stiff, with support. I can't afford to buy them. So I'm asking Danner Boot Company for help in getting a pair of there mountaineering boots. Size 9.5. Without them it's hard to walk without my legs and back going into spasms. Please someone from Danner contact me.. thank you

My complaint is about Danner's receiving end. I've return the boots that were sent to me because they did not fit or they were too narrow. I called back to get a refund for the boots and some how Danner does not have a way to know if they have received them.
