We could not be happier with our choice for daycare. Our son has been going there for two years and absolutely loves it! The teachers are incredibly kind and patient, and our son has grown so much under their guidance. The daycare also offers quite a few perks we couldn't find elsewhere - being able to drop for the summer without losing our spot, call-in days that are credited to the next month, and 10 vacation days throughout the year. Plus, their hours (6:30 am - 6:00 pm) make it very easy for his two working parents to drop off and pick up without having to rush. We highly recommend them for anyone looking for daycare!

We love David Douglas Daycare! The teachers are really caring, kind, and very organized! I am always impressed how they can get a room full of three year olds to listen! Our son always comes home so happy and especially loves their art projects!

Our daughters attend DDDC and we've had a great experience. The staff are friendly and responsive, and the rates and vacation policies are very reasonable. We recommend DDDC to friends and family with little ones.

The universe really worked its magic when we found DDDC in the midst of the pandemic - now both our kids have grown up there!
Our oldest son is autistic and they were so cool, confident, and accommodating as we navigated diagnosis and therapy with him, even welcoming his private 1:1 therapist and MECP staff to join him in the classroom.
Our youngest started in the infant house and Brandi and staff were incredible at keeping us updated with cute photos. Emily in the Otters classroom has been so clever and creative with both boys, teaching them how to be caring community members and fostering relationships and connections between parents whose kids connect so they can have playdates beyond the classroom.
Speaking of parents - you can really measure the quality of their care by the wonderful families they attract. Literally every parent I meet is a gem and I'm happy to have my kids grow up alongside theirs (and have made some awesome friends of my own!).
Merry and Tara run a tight ship and are so communicative and flexible - they always answer the phone immediately and address any concerns with their eternal patience. I adore them. Scott and Kelsey do a great job retaining their staff - this family owned business attracts career caregivers and you won't find a rotating door of randos.
I could go on and on about how practical and fantastic they are... don't sleep on this unassuming daycare - wooden toys, overpriced montessori branding, and organic lunches have nothing on good ol'fashioned daycare and preschool from wonderful people and everyday kids.

The teachers and owners of this daycare are so compassionate and caring, and my daughter has loved attending daycare here in the toddler building. She’s learned so many new skills, made new friends, and always comes home with a creative project that uses her new skills.
As a parent, the teachers and owners have been so understanding and worked with me to always make sure my daughter and I were getting any support we needed during a difficult time.
I fully recommend this daycare to anyone looking for safe and compassionate childcare.

Very happy with this local daycare! I had to scramble finding care quickly and the owner was nice and professional while on the tour who answered all of my questions. The registration was easy, center communication is great, classrooms are clean, and the teachers are happy, kind, and have great communication. I recommend this daycare to anyone in the Mill Park neighborhood.

They are the best. Our son has been there since he was 4 months old (now 2.5) and he's been doing so well there.
The basics: I think their prices are competitive and fair especially because they allow 2 weeks vacation days, monthly sick day, and have limited holiday closures.
Teachers/ all staff are amazing and so professional. Minimal turnover - I think almost all of his teachers all still working there so I belive they must take good care of their staff. I have seen many a chaotic situation between drop off and pick up and the vibe from staff is always full of calm, structured, and loving leadership. They are communicative, accommodating, are easily reachable, provide monthly newsletters, and I love that they use paper reports (instead of a digital device/app). Beyond that, I feel a genuine love and care for my kid by the way they treat him every day. They have taught him so much about being a kind and responsible human.
I trust in them and love them for all they do. (And they get tons of props for how they handle transitions - their potty routine contributed a ton for helping us set him up for success) Thank you DDDC ❤️

Our daughter was deeply cared for, loved and nurtured while at DDDC. We are forever grateful to the owners and staff for their support over the last two years. They will always have a special place in our hearts. I highly recommend them for childcare.

We have been a part of the DDDC community for over 6 years, and currently have our second child attending there. The hours can't be beat, and the fact that it is a family run business, with committed staff who have been employed at the daycare for years is a huge bonus! It is a place where we know that our kids are loved and well cared for. Communication is key, and I feel extremely comfortable talking to any DDDC staff due to the respect and rapport we have developed. We have and will continue to refer parents to "our" DDDC!

My daughter has been attending David Douglas daycare since she was 12 weeks old. She will be 3 in April. DDDC has met and exceeded our expectations as a daycare. Their staff is amazing and really cares about the kids. They teach them to do be independent, nurture them to be kind and gentle with one another and themselves, and they make the cutest crafts (the Thanksgiving Turkey is my favorite! The teachers are open to hearing your concerns when they arise and work with you to figure out a solution. If you need to discuss anything with the directors or owners, they make themselves available and are also open to any feedback/concerns. There’s nothing scarier than being a first time mom and having to leave your kid with strangers (especially when she started during the pandemic), but I am so so glad we found DDDC. It feels more like a big family than a daycare, and I recommend them 100%!

Our children started at DDDC during the covid-19 pandemic. Prior to that our children, ages 15 months and 3-years-old, had been at home full time. Initially we were a bit nervous to transition them, especially during the pandemic. These past two years have flown by! The teachers and staff at DDDC have become an extension of our family. Our children are happy, loved and learning new things constantly!! Best decision ever.

We have been taking our son here since he was just 6 weeks old and he’s just recently turned 2. The amount of love and care the teachers here give is simply incredible. Our child has learned so much from them. It’s such a relief knowing that we can go to work knowing that our child is in a caring, attentive, nurturing, and educational environment. I can’t recommend DDDC enough!
