I hope I get this job. I recently applied because I love the Dollar tree. I had a interview with the manager, now I'm just hoping he hires me. I would love to be apart of the team.

@ Tinisha Bruce. I was the one there that day that helped you check out. I'm not sure why you repeatedly call the cashier the wrong name but the cashiers name was Julia. I remember that day very well and also agreed with you that that was not appropriate for her to say and did have a conversation with her after the store had no customers. I even had further discussed it with you as I was helping you check out. I'm just not sure why you cannot be completely straight about the situation? I am truly sorry you had this experience in our store but would like you to tell the truth about it. That is not a how we conduct business (at least not while I'm working) and don't want people to think we are ok with those types of statements. We welcome all customers from all walks of life. Hopefully one day you will come back and see how things actually go here but if not I understand. And again the cashier was Julia. We don't even have a cashier named Samantha at this location. Again truly sorry for your bad experience here at our Dollar Tree.

I went to this dollar tree on 122nd on Easter Sunday. When I entered the store I caught the end of an interaction between a black woman with her two adult children wanting to buy a case of bottled water and a cashier named Samantha. The woman with her children didn't realize the water was more expensive than she thought so she set the case of waters on the floor in front of the register and walked out to her car with her family in a handicap parking space. I heard the older white woman Samantha on the cash register start talking about this black woman. The cashier Samantha proceeded to be frustrated for the woman setting the case of water in front of the register. I over hear the cashier saying she had asked the black woman "is that where you found it?" When the black woman only said "bye" and walked out because she did not speak good english. She questioned about the black woman for parking in the handicap space by saying "Well of course she is handicapped, she doesn't speak english!" My jaw dropped and I said out loud "WOW, That is foul" as i walked around a corner to find two other white employees not correct this cashier. I told the cashier that this is not okay, being handicap means you have a disability and I asked her what the definition of handicap was because being handicap means you need to have a disability. Not speaking english is NOT a disability and does not make this black woman handicap. The Cashier proceeded to to argue and shug me off. I told the cashier this is the definition of bigotry, she told me no it was not. So I asked for a manager. The white male employee in the isle that I had just seen said he was the manager. He said he would have a talk with her. Another customer came around the corner to the register and joined in to tell the cashier how she had just heard what the cashier said and how wrong of her this was. As the customer and I were trying to have a conversation with the cashier, another white woman employee began to raise her voice at the customer and I that we were ganging up on the cashier. The manager did not handle the situation. This other customer left and I continued to shop, hearing the cashier continue to talk about the black woman with the family under her breath. I asked the manager to check me out because I did not want to be helped by her. I apologized for making a deal out of this and he ignored my comment. When I walked out of the store I started crying from the emotional toll this has taken. This should have never happened. Hearing this disrespect towards their customers is terrible and to see this cashier continue to help customers like nothing had happened. I will be filing a complaint with dollar tree headquarters.

It was pretty busy, and Jess checked us out - she was so sweet and had a great attitude. I noticed she greeted everyone who came in even though it seems she was losing her voice. She called for someone to help her and nobody came. :( Give Jess a raise, for real.

This particular location is getting worse and worse.. lived here my whole life. Each time I go in thinking will be better but seems worse. Little to no stock and looks like no one cleans this store. The location on 181 Halsey always stocked and cleaned. Ugh!

There are a lot fewer varieties now than a few years ago, and they are expensive and bad.

It looks like it is going out of business. Shelves are empty and disheveled. Workers were complaining about other customers, their lives, and just not professional. I gave it more stars because of location for me. Im always dissapointed by the experience when I leave.

This dollar tree seem to not have a lot of stuff on their shelves and the line is always long. It sometime takes forever to get through the register to leave. Other than that the people that work there are very nice .

Unfortunately, it's hard to tell which Dollar store is the worst, but it could be this one. Lots of empty shelves, checkout line a mile long, the store is filthy. The poor people who shop here deserve better than this.

I was shopping here with my friend and we get an announcement over the speaker that the store will be closing in 30 minutes, so we started to quickly finish up our shopping. At 7:45, the store manager told us we had to go asap because and I quote (hand to God), because he “wanted to go home.” The store didn’t close for another 15 minutes. He was absolutely an awful human being to us and we were ready to spend at least a hundred dollars. I told him that and he laughed and he laughed in my face and said we lose that all that kind of sales all the time. Then he proceeded to accuse us of stealing saying he “got it all on camera”. I am absolutely beside myself right now. He would not even let us purchase our items. He verbally and nearly physically attacked us. He threw homosexual slurs at us and all but kicked us out of the front door. He laughed and screamed at us as we were driving away. I can not believe what just happened. I will spend every day of my life working with Dollar Tree management to make sure that this man “EJ” never works for this company again. I have never felt so disrespected, insulted, threatened and treated so horribly for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON AT ALL. He wouldn’t let us buy our cart full of products. I asked for his name and his employee number as well as his district and regional managers’ names and he refused to give them to me. I am absolutely irate at how I was just treated. I will not let this go. This man should not have a job and owes us an apology.UPDATE: I have been working with Dollar Tree HQ and we are discussing a discrimination lawsuit for how we were treated that day.
